what brush are you using?
The Real Techniques Mutil-Task brush (I think that's what it's called?) - one of the firmer ones. Funny thing is, there didn't seem to be a problem getting the product onto the brush, it just doesn't like to transfer to skin very well, which is...problematic

It's really weird how it's super powdery but hard at the same time? Like the brush kicked up a bunch of powder, but when I tried to get some on my finger there was no pigmentation. Strange QC issues for sure.

I might be considered a no returns natzi lol. But I don't think it's THAT serious. I just suggest if you don't like something that you bought and it's a coveted item you might want to check if anyone in the CB may want it. I assume that's what most people that mention it are trying to get across. Otherwise most stores will just throw it away. But I do think if you have the opportunity to swatch something in store or at a counter before you buy that would be best...saves you some cash if you end up not liking it...and some energy. At the end of the day though...return it if you want. No reason any one should feel any kind of way just because some people think you should do one thing over the other. :shrugs: The whole judging anyone for the number of items they buy...sorry but even if I weren't a MUA I would think it's a ridiculous argument. If you can afford it and you want it, then buy it. Let's be honest...no one in this group has any room to judge anyone on their spending habits or their quantity of makeup lol. If you're not an MUA and you own more than a few lipsticks at a time (or blush, eye shadow, etc) then chances are you A). Won't finish your stash in your lifetime B). Items in your stash WILL be wasted. It is what it is. Sorry if this rubs anyone the wrong way but it's the truth. If I weren't an MUA and I owned anywhere near the amount of makeup I currently own then yes...I'd have spent thousands of dollars on makeup that could have went to so many other more "justifiable" things. But honestly....as long as my bills are paid and all of my responsibilities are taken care of who cares? That's true for everyone. People will always judge...it's human nature. Let them. And as far as how things look on people...hey...I keep negative opinions on it to myself because at the end of the day I'm judging them on what is appropriate to me. It's not my place to do that. Tyrone Bigums powder lips may be hot to some people. "Neutrals are boring". "Red is for harlots". "Black is for witches or devil worshippers". The judgement list goes on and on. If you have the balls to rock it and you love it then it's doing exactly what it's supposed to...pleasing you! And now I shall stop my rambling lol

You guys, the no-return nazis thing was a joke, hence the "lol" afterwards. The whole point in bringing up stash sizes was to point out that all of us are a little wasteful in some ways, whether through returns or just having more items than we can go through. And, like I said before, no one is wearing their makeup for me. I didn't think it was against the rules to say a lipstick is hard for most people to pull off, in my opinion. It isn't, and never was, that deep to me

That is far different from it looking like a hot mess on 90% of the people that had posted pics.

I agree. I hate when people say how someone else should spend their money. Whether they make 50k a year or a million a year, who are you to say how they should spend their money? It's not of their business. People should take all the energy of worrying about others and put it towards something that benefits them. I think thus forum is really good about keeping how things look on people very positive. On a lot of other forums they'd get ripped a new one! I didn't even see the term return nazi, though I think that term could be taken quite offensively. Though I agree more with the retail side I'm overall pretty careless. If someone wants to return, whatever. But if your a king/queen of returns and then are the same person who judges how people spend money, or talk about ebayers, I find it quite hypocritical. I'm speaking in general, as this argument is every day it seems like. Not this actual convo I think the return argument is in every MAC thread on specktra. I think it should officially have it's own thread and from now Whenever it's brought up it should be redirected their. It clogs pages and people seem to love to debate it constantly. Or am I wrong mods?[@]Naynadine[/@]

Mousy, if the way I phrased it offended you, then I'm sorry, but I really don't want to discuss the topic anymore. You seem to be taking this so personally and I don't understand why. I hate taking over a thread with petty drama. But I don't need to be policed by other members for an opinion. I said the lipstick looked a hot mess on 90% of people (to me!), not the people themselves, and I think there's a big difference. Not gonna continue this conversation, but you ladies can feel free. Geez.

Well, I just feel bad for the 100% of people that posted pics wearing RH in the Osborne's thread because they are being put down. That is all. It discourages people from posting lip swatches when things like that are said, even if the intent was not to shame or put them down that is what it does. I have a lot of respect for those people and yeah, I will stand up for them when they are talked about in an unflattering manner.

You can't say mean ish and then be like ooo topic closed when you are called out.

Ok I can get that, nobody wants that. I just don't want this to escalate into hard feelings.
