If anyone is interested in buying the movie, it is currently on sale at Best Buy and Amazon ($4.99 Blu-Ray/$2.99 DVD). I checked the price history and the current price is the lowest either have ever been. Now is a great time to buy if you haven't seen the movie and don't want to waste too much money if it ends up being not your cup of tea.
$4.99 Blu-Ray?!?!?! Time to upgrade from VHS!

LOL there are always good deals on older movies. I paid almost $30 for the 25th Anniversary edition of RHPS a few years ago, but it doesn't bother me because I am a big movie collector.

Hollywood needs to quit dicking around with all our beloved 80s/ early 90s films and get their originality back if you ask me. Did I love The Goonies? Heck yeah! Do I want to see a sequel or remake almost 30 years later with different actors, story and all around un-80sness? Nope! Have they not learned from all those incredibly awful horror movie remakes of the last few years? There is NO Freddy without Robert Englund!!!! If it ain't broke, don't fix it. lol
I so agree! Just like they remade Evil Dead! My favorite b movie trilogy of all time and they completely destroyed it! The humor in it was bland. They over did the gore. The only horror movie remakes that ever were any good was Halloween, but that was only probably cause it was done by rob zombie. His movies are awesome ( devils rejects is amazing!) and the freight night.

I'll do that too on some films that I deem worthy of the heftier price tag for the fancy version of it. Like my Gone With the Wind copy.

I LOVE Carnival of Souls! It's so bizarre! I adore all those old horror films from the 60s, they're so well crafted for the time and incredibly fun to watch.
Carnival of souls is amazing! Plus part of it was filmed here in utah at the salt palace.

Loved Devil's Rejects! Still haven't gotten around to watching the Fright Night remake and I think I'm fine with that. lol

Fright night was good. But still doesn't even hold a flame to the original. You aren't missing much if you've seen the original.

I swear makeup and movie LE packaging always gets me. My Blu-Ray collection is bigger than my makeup collection and that's saying something lol. Of course my boyfriend is also a movie lover, so he contributes just as much as I do. I hope we get a nice Blu-Ray collector's set for the 40th Anniversary and awesome packaging for this collection.

I usually am so picky with films but I watched the remake solely for Colin Farrell so there was no chance of disappointment lol he just had to show up
