Oh thank goodness Naomi. I thought I was the only one. I don't really pay attention to designers. It's really not important to me at all. I am, however, very interested in seeing what this collection will look like.
It's incredibly rare that I know who designers are as I dress down 99% of the time and only really know the very obvious designers.
^Same here. I get to wear comfy clothes to work. Jeans, a nice top and sneakers if I wish or sandles. I dress up on occassion or if I go our after work, but nothing expensive. I'm a simple girl who loves to dress comfy. I only know designers who are mentioned online by the celebs that wear their stuff. I could care less to be honest. Just because it's more expensive doesn't necessarily mean it's better quality. JMO.

I think that's the nice thing about collections like this. I can wear a $xxx lipstick, without buying the $2000 (or whatever) jacket. A little affordable luxury?

Anyway, the successful ones allow the designer to have a voice in the colors/formula. Not just sign-off on nicely packaged versions of dupe-able things. I'm hoping we'll see a little bit of that with all the MAC designer collaborations, including this one. Can't wait to learn more!

Me either and I'm not liking this price point so, it will have to be really good before I buy anything.

I don't value labels and never have. I value quality and am prepared to pay more for it, but I'd rather have actual wealth than wear it. I buy nice suits for work (Italian wool, made in Canada) from a favourite store when they're on semi-annual clearance, but there's just no way I'd ever pay $2000 for an item of clothing or more than around $120 or so for a leather purse.

I'd like to know what is going to be in the 70$ range. Brushes possibly?
That's what I was thinking unless it's another super fancy powder like the one with one of the Marcel Wanders collections. Wasn't that one like $60?

Please let it be gold brushes. I'm so sad that I missed out on the gold Sonia Kushak brush set :(

I don't care what it is that's $70. I'm getting everything. Prabal is fabulous and an accomplished designer. I always love his work!
AHHHHHHHH! I'm definitely skipping a lot of the Fall (except MATTES, YOU JUST CAN'T SKIP MATT LIPSTICK!) collections for this one.

if anyone wonders what his stuff looks like, he has a website featuring his work http:\\www.prabalgurung.com Michelle Obama wears some of his designs. His current collection appears to use interesting color blocking and a mix of muted colors with brighter accents

Purple brushes?!?! NEED!
Purple is my favourite color!!! When I saw them, I drooled all over myself and my phone. I actually really like her brushes and use them every day. I'll admit her smaller brushes aren't that great but everything else is amazing and holds up well. No shedding.

You ladies are not alone. I also don't know much about designers. Gone to know I'm not alone out there. :sigh:
