I'd love to see pics of the packaging.

These are full sized shadows aren't they? It works out to $7.33 per shadow, plus you get the palette. Seems like a really good price to me. I don't see the problem?
$110 is a lot of money though. I could get the Urban Decay Electric palette which is 10 eyeshadows and a brush for only $50.

It's all just opinion with price, if someone adores MAC shadows then the palette is just right, and a good value. If you don't want the palette, that's great, and if you do, that's great, too! I would rather spend the money to get the LORAC pro palette and the chocolate bar palette (hehe and I did a few months ago), but that doesn't make me right or wrong. :peace:

I agree. If you love neutrals and want to get into MAC shadows, that palette is great. If you break it down, the price is actually a good value. I personally would prefer to just create my own palette and be able to move the shadows around. The LORAC and Too Faced palettes are on my list! You can never have enough neutral shadows in my opinion!

I'm not necessarily opposed to spending $110 for a palette - but only if I get to select every colour. I have 2 MAC 15-pans and I paid more than $110 each. I'd personally never pay this much for a pre-made palette; I'd rather get two palettes I love (UD Electric and UD Naked), but to each his/her own.

For me to spring for a palette, it has to be a substantially better deal (less than half price) of buying the shades separately because I know I won't use them all.

Exactly, I don't really see the problem with it. I've made some unexpected (but very welcome) jewelry sales so I'm going to be treating myself to it. It definitely saves me money than buying a whole bunch of singles to build my own palette which I was planning to do. It is ridiculously expensive, but it's also still a good deal if you do the math. Obviously this is pending swatches though, if everything seems poor quality I'll pass it. But buying this and hopefully finding the pedro neutral palette again sometime and I'll have all the eyeshadow I really need. Also, I have Naked3 and I hate it. I don't know if the previous two are different quality-wise, but mine I very rarely wear because of the quality. Fallout for daaaays.

I'm sure someone could figure out the quantity vs price for the Naked palettes vs. this too. Not me, because I have the math skills of a toddler. But someone with the skills of a normal adult human.

Hehe just buy all the palettes. Not going to lie, I am definitely looking forward to swatches for this one, as I only own two MAC shadows and would like to expand. The price per shadow is great, and most of us are guilty and splurging "too much" on makeup here ;) The Pro and Chocolate Bar palettes are gorgeous, I love them both and definitely think their different enough to justify owning both :) you will love them!

If this palette was all new shades, I'd definitely pick it up! I love palettes!! I'm picking up those palettes after I finish orientation! I'm glad they are permanent! They are so pretty.

The Naked palettes work out to about $3.46 per gram of product. This one works out to about $4.89 per gram of product. This is definitely more expensive, but I don't think it's drastically more expensive... at least as not as much as it seems at first glance. Each of the shadows in the Naked palettes is 1.3 grams vs. 1.5 grams here. Also, this includes 15 shadows vs. 12. I also generally prefer MAC shadows to UD because of the fallout issues I have with UD (but I do really like UD, too, as long as I use a good base/primer). I an certainly not trying to trash UD because I LOVE UD and the Naked palettes, but I just don't feel like this is a bad price for a MAC 15 palette. Now, swatches will definitely determine whether or not it is worth it for me considering the repeat shades.

Thanks for that! I think this palette is especially a great deal if, like me, you're just starting to collect MAC Eyeshadows. I'm actually really excited about the permanents bc theyre all shades I wanted anyway! In these kind of palettes, is it possible to remove a pan and put another color in?

I think since it is premade they will be glued into the slots so it will take some creativity to switch out shades

Great math! The thing for me to make it seem like the palette isn't worth the price is I already have most all the permanent shadows in it, and the only one I use enough to justify buying a second one is Shroom... And then I really do not like frost eyeshadows...So I will probably not get it but I do agree broken down the price isn't unreasonable for MAC

Aww that kind of sucks. It'd be nice to be able to swatch out maybe carbon or if there's another shade in there I won't get a ton of use out of. Well hopefully this carbon will be one of the nice ones!

I think I'll be picking up one of the lipsticks just for the love of the game. I have a feeling this might be another collection that will sell the way Proenza did (still in stock on their site)

I am not a huge fan of palettes, to be honest, unless I build it myself. I don't know about you, but when I have purchased a palette thinking it was such a "good deal", there were quite a few of the colors that were somewhat used infrequently, some hardly at all, then about four or five that I would use all the itme. Usually only one would be the most highly used. That can take the idea of "such a good deal", right down the drain. Then you get this clunky palette eating up a lot of space, when most of the colors aren't even used that much. Can you tell I don't liike premade palettes?!

I don't either. I think they're a good deal for someone building a collection or if they don't have many shades. I always only end up using like 3-4 out of 8 if I'm lucky!
