Thanks for the welcome everyone i love the packaging. it's so perfectly iconic and relates best to the movie's essence, i think.
does anyone have any good tips on buying things from a collection online? i feel like sometimes even when I wake up early, things are completely sold out. i can usually rely on preordering for in-store when that happens but not this time

it seems like it's always a random time when they release the collections.

Welcome!!! It is random, but lately its been between 6am EST and 10am EST. I'm lucky that 1) I'm on the east coast and 2) I'm already up early and can usually get what I ordered. Trying to go to a MAC store in the city is pure chaos and I'm not up for that. If you've got a thing going with preorders and a good relationship with your MAC guy/girl then I'd stick with that. Probably would get to save yourself a few zzzzz's Or you could come on here for the "stalking parties" lol those are fun.

My best advice is take an early nap then be prepared to stalk midnight and on for a few days around the time of the launch. If I just have to get sleep I set an alarm and check every hour or so.

thanks y'all. at least a ballpark of the time frame helps. i'm on the west coast so the release is 3 hours earlier for me, and all the stores closest to me are in department stores. you know shit's gettin real now that i'm planning an entire night to makeup. oh well, i love it.

Oop thanks! I thought MSO in the first post meant it would only be available at MAC stores.

Everything is always available online, despite what the physical store distribution is. So happy shopping!

Not a fan, either. There are a few lipsticks I like the sound of, but they need to look great or I'm not buying, cause the packaging isn't selling it for me.

i probably will eventually watch the movie...i can't believe i haven't already

i know the lips are exciting to people who are fans, and i certainly don't think it's inappropriate given the recognizability of the image...i'm usually just not into imagery on my packaging. usually with collections like this, i either completely skip if i dislike the packaging enough (eg. dame edna) , or like with the marilyn monroe collection, i bought the products i liked regardless. the colour story looks appealing at this point, so i'm pretty sure the latter will be the case.

I I think it looks a little crowded with the lettering on there as well but hey, it's got the lips, it looks like RHPS, I'm happy! :cheer:

It's a bit nutty, but after awhile, even our hubbies/boyfriends get used to it!

My hubby does shifts with me sometimes! LOL
