I went to Sephora the other day for my little birthday gift and the lady there convinced me to buy First Aid Beauty lotion for my dry skin. I've never returned anything to Sephora, but so far I kind of hate this.
That's my favorite moisturizer ever, I got my boyfriend into it, and my mom! lol
What don't u like about it? it's not working for u? :(

I feel like instead of fully sinking in it just sits on top of my skin. Maybe something else in my skincare routine is off? I almost like the MAC Complete Comfort Creme I tried out better even though it's way more money per ounce.

I'm not a fan of First Aid Beauty. I don't know why buy I like other moisturizers better. I love the Fresh Lotus Youth Cream and I also have a small sample of Ole H Vitamin C moisturizer which is nice. I'd rather pay more money for good skin then for an expensive foundation to cover it up.

Did any Rouges purchase from the new Marc Jacobs Fall collection? I couldn't resist the Kiss Pop lip colors and picked up two! Really hope they work well :).

I didn't purchase anything (on a strict no buy), but I am really curious as to what people think of the cream shadows and the lip colors!

I am waiting for swatches (in person and/or online) and reviews before purchasing.

Ole is my favorite, collagen booster serum is my one true love. I use it daily, it's amazing.
I also like the Clinique moisturizer, I forget the name, but the one in the yellow tub for dry - combo skin is my favorite.

FAB is not bad quality, it is priced more reasonably at Sephora but I feel like it's not bad. I think there's a major price difference because it's just plain products, they don't target anything like anti aging, or even have sunscreen, but for the client who just wants a moisturizer and doesn't have problems with anything else it's a really good moisturizer. I only recommend it for younger skin, with no issues, basically just people that need a little more hydration or the person who doesn't even use a moisturizer daily. It's a good first step.
My skin is too dry for it right now, so I need other products in combination if I want to use it, but my boyfriend and my brother both love that line.

It may just not work for you :( that's sad.
skin is different on everyone so it may just not be the right one for u :(
I find it strange that it sits on ur skin to, usually it absorbs super quick due to the glycerin in it .. oh well :/

That's probably it! It's a good moisturizer but there's not brightening benefits, anti-aging benefits, etc. I think it's a great moisturizer if you're under 20-22. I'm 27. I want to age gracefully, but I don't want to look like a raisin.

Yup, agreed. I'm 23 but I don't think it's too early to start with anti aging products. So I already use the serum and use algenist's products, my favorite is the micro polish peel.. omg .. and the new glamglow (green one) has made my face just ... look so much brighter and plump. Eye serum, eye cream, OLE's peel for the under eye area is amazing too...

I think once i started working for Sephora I started noticing things in my skin that needed attention, and I can never go back to just washing it and using one moisturizer haha...

See, I'm 26 and specifically told her I was worried about aging. Do you have any recommendations for me if I return it?

I don't work for Sephora but being close to your age I think a good and gentle exfoliator helps and of course sun screen! I really love the fresh Brown Sugar exfoliant. Its so pricey, but it lasts a while and its so incredibly moisturizing. I love it. HG status.

Sounds like she wasn't really listening, :(
Definitely could help you out, tell me a bit about your skin, dry, oily, combo?
Aside from anti aging, do u have any other skin concerns?
And do u have sensitive skin?

:)

People need to stop raving about that green GlamGlow thing (mask? moisturizer?). It's making me want to try it! It's so hard for me to find things that actually work for my skin. Still trying to stick to my no-buy for the summer though. And about that...

I did place an order yesterday, BUT it was just for a setting powder. I was using LORAC's baked powder in Light and it looked great indoors. I like that it doesn't haven't bismuth oxychloride and that it DOES have salicylic acid. However, I realized that in sunlight, the color looks way too pink for my skin. DH said he doesn't see what I'm seeing, but it really bothers me. A change in shade won't help because a shade lighter is too pale and a shade darker is too dark. So I decided to just go back to my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light. I'm still on the fence about if the Hourglass powder really does anything all that special for me that other powders don't, but I will admit that it's the perfect shade of setting powder for me, and I guess that justifies the price.

So with my powder, I also got my MUFE birthday gift from Sephora, the Too Faced 100 point perk mascara I wanted to try, and a couple of samples.

Being that this really was a "need" so that my face doesn't look a different color from the rest of me, I'm going to call my no-buy still intact, lol.
