I bought the Poesie at Macy's yesterday.  I was at Nordies today and asked about the quads and the SA said she only had one but was expecting the others soon.  Of course the only one she had was Poesie.  I told her I had just bought it but wished that I had bought it from her.  She said she expects to get the rest during the sale.  I told her I want the green one.  Anyway.  I wore Poesie today.  I was worried that the colors would not show up on me but they did.  They felt very buttery going on.  They were not like the baked shadows with powder everywhere but in my pic you see the powder but I didn't even notice it with my naked eye or I would have wiped the palette off before I had taken the pic. I wore the top left color on the lid with the darkest color in the crease and outer v and the top right color as a highlight. I did not try the bottom left color but it is darker than the other lighter color and that showed up well on my skin.  When I finished my look, I really liked it but Tom Ford Orchid Haze popped in my head.  I don't know that it looks the same but it reminded me of Orchid Haze in that it is like a plummy neutral quad.  I don't know that it is a must have but I do really like it and I am glad I bought it.  I think the Venetien is more of an attention grabber. Here are my sad pics.  I just don't think the pics do the quad justice.  It is very nice especially that top left color like a rosey taupe shade.  Actually now that I think of it maybe I can get Hesitation to pair with this one.  I almost bought Hesitation yesterday but couldn't quite think of what to pair it with but I think it might look nice with this one. Okay on to pics.

Thank you for the review and swatches. It looks like a pretty go-to quad for Fall, worth buying when you need a neutral quad, not a must have but still very pretty and subtle .

Did anyone notice that these new quads don't have any matte shades? I'm not a big matte fan but I am surprised. It seems odd that they would replace the entire quad collection with quads in all shimmers. Then again, of the matte shades I do use, it is mostly neutral colors, brown, black, grey, beige. I have all these in my collection anyway so I wouldn't need them in a quad.

I think there are matte shades in some. Riviera has a Black es it looks like a matte one, well I ´ ll check that out. I have 2 quads only ( Vénitien and Riviera )

Glad to hear you like Poesie so much. I had different things in my online cart on different devices (was signed in on one and not the other until I ordered on the second) and didn't pay enough attention when I placed my order. I ordered doubles of a few things and poesie by mistake!

That's hysterical Winthrop! I recently ended up with 4 Tiki Torches instead of two. I'd much prefer doubles in makeup.

Some of the quads do have matte shades (Poesie is not one of them), and they are for the most part the darkest colors. The other palette I have, Tisse Vendome, has a matte deep brown shade.
Others with them are Cambon, Gabrielle, Riviera, and Rivoli. The matte shades do contain the most minute amount of shimmer which is not detectable on the eyes... I think it resulted in them being quite creamy mattes!

Oh thanks for clarifying. They look shimmery in swatches. Good to know that is not the case on the eyes.

Downtown Seattle Nordstrom has all quads in stock and were just putting out the tester. Was going to get Poesie but came home with Tisse Rivoli! It's absolutely beautiful

It's beautiful! I have a friend in the UK who is swapping me a Prelude quad in the US formula for Tisse Mademoiselle, otherwise that would have come home with me too. I'm so glad to have found another Rivoli lover

Well, I haven't gotten it yet but it certainly is on my wish list ;-) Mademoiselle is my second fave lol and I like the taupe shade in Tisse Camelia

Hmm, if I could make a palette of six with these I would use Rivoli, the Camelia taupe and either the light gold from Mademoiselle or the satin brown of Vendome, sigh lol

Delicatewhimsy was there a spot on the display for Poesie? If anyone is looking for it, you may have to ask and not go by what is on the display.

They said they didn't have a tester available for Poesie yet. They opened one up and let me see it in comparison to Tisse Rivoli, it's very similar but Tisse Rivoli is a bit warmer. [COLOR=0000FF]Delicatewhimsy[/COLOR] was there a spot on the display for Poesie?  If anyone is looking for it, you may have to ask and not go by what is on the display.

Vénitien is so beautiful, glad you ordered that one I am sure you will love it. Poésie looks so pretty too, both are very different and clearly a good choice !
