Homegirl and Motorhead are pretty similar. Motorhead is more of a darkened berry and Homegirl is more of a darkened purple. Motorhead is similar to MAC Sin and to be honest Sin is easier to apply. You have to make sure your lips are prepped before application of the darker matte colors. Once you do you will LOVE the pigmentation and the feel on the lips. They aren't drying in my opinion and they smell awesome. If you get any let me know which ones besides Poe. I'm also curious to see what they look like on you.

Go over to the tread about the lippies. There are several swatches of some of the colors. I posted one of Motorhead and the similar ones in my collection. It was Motorhead, Sin, TTT and a few others. I did the same for LUV and Homegirl and Bauhau5.

Tonight I was at the South Beach Sephora and found myself in front of the Bare Minerals counter. I was taking a look at their pressed shadows. Especially the one in Soundtrack. The colors are fairly neutral but the pigmentation and creaminess of the shadows piqued my interest. Anyone use any of these quads? What are your thoughts? Are they worth the $30 pricetag?

The ones I have, I love. I have two quads and two duos. My favorites are the duos. I have Top Shelf and the Epiphany. I also have the Happy Place and The Truth. The shadows are all really pigmented and buttery. I think they're really nice. I did have the power neutrals quad and that was nice as well but I returned it because I wasn't really loving the colors.

If the Happy Place was the more purple one I was looking at that one too. I think I'm going to get The Soundtrack and The Smashbox Masterclass 3 palette and then I have to take 1000 seats until October.

Can you ladies recommend your favorite higher end lipsticks at Sephora? I tend to prefer opaque coverage in matte or satin finishes, but I'm open!

My personal favorite at Sephora is Make Up Forever Rouge Artist Intense. Their satin and matte finishes are what they do best. I also love Dolce and Gabanna Classic Cream lipstick.

Givenchy Le Rouge! Incredible texture and coverage, super comfortable and ugh, just perfect. I love them! They're not quite matte, definitely more of a satin/the semi-matte that they claim to be.

I haven't tried Givenchy. I've seen positive reviews, but something always stops me from buying after I've swatched them. Guerlain definitely has it's fans but I find it to be overrated and overpriced. The formula isn't all that great on my lips and for that price it should be flawless. The only line of lipsticks I like from them is the rouge automatique shine, but that's obviously not a satin or matte finish. Oh, the YSL rouge pur couture the mats is a great one. I only have 1 right now because I wasn't interested in the other shades, but they just came out with a couple more that I'm interested in. Great formula and truly matte.

I like the Guerlain Rouge G's, I think they're really lovely colors and are very comfortable to wear. The Rouge Automatique's I'm just not as crazy about I don't know why. My favorite lipsticks are actually YSL Rouge Volupté (but those tend to be glossier) and Chanel Rouge Coco + Rouge Allure Velvet. I think the velvets are super comfortable and soft, I can't stand drying mattes and I have no problem w those. They don't carry Chanel at Sephora though, but those are my recommendations!
