I really like the Revlon lash adhesive. Cheap, good formula that holds, and I think the applicator makes it easier than some others I've tried.

That website is a one stop site for lashes. I love the way they are fuller on the ends. It was the first thing I noticed. They sell Red Cherries at my local BBS. I'm going to look specifically for #43.

The way I learned to put on lashes I found it easier to have a larger mirror and have it a bit lower than my face. Looking down into the mirror makes it easier to place the lashes closer to the lash line. Hope this helps. Like Shontay said make sure you use tweezers. I actually have a pair of eyelash tweezers that i bought when I was an eyelash newbie. They helped tremendously!
I need to check out that site. I've been looking for a good set of bottom lashes.

I like the Revlon one as well and the Duo brush on adhesive. I like those two because they don't have latex. I also don't mind the original Duo either but the applicator of the other ones makes it easier to work with.

Vanessa is really pretty, I get a lot of questions about what I'm wearing whenever I have it on! I'm wearing Brigitte today

Thanks! I need all the info/help I can get. What is the best adhesive to use? I've never done the falsies before because I was so afraid that the adhesive would ruin my own natural lashes or make them fall out. Does it?
I was a professional dancer and I had to wear lashes daily. I used plain old duo and it worked just fine. I feel like wearing them definitely made my lashes fall out, but again I was wearing them 3- 5x a week for years. If you just use them occasionally it might be fine. I dunno because I quit dancing when I became pregnant 5 yrs ago, and I haven't touched lashes since. My natural lashes have gotten so much thicker since I stopped. A trick I learned though is to do the eye that you have the most trouble with first. Makes it easier to get them even. :) hope that helps!

I went to Saks to swatch the shades not carried by Sephora. I had the idea that I would go to Sephora anyway and get Lana and add to my points. However, Catherine actually turned out to be what I wanted. She came home with me instead. I was this close to getting Lana, too but I practiced some self-control. Next week. :D

It's a darker orange coral. The deep orange tone makes it work for me. Sometimes shades in this family turn crazy on me, but this is perfect. Again, the formula is everything and I have to get used to it because I put on too much and have to blot it off. The SA was super nice and chatty. I told her the shades I already have and she was freaking out because she said she wanted Dominique and couldn't get her hands on it even at the workshop. She also said Catherine was for Hepburn, but I'm pretty sure it's for Deneuve since Hepburn is Katharine. She was nice and hyper, though so I just smiled.

I'd really like to get Natalie as a gift for my best friend Natalie. It's definitely brighter than the colors she usually wears, but I would love to see her in some brighter shades. I'm not exactly sure, but if I had to guess I'd say she is approximately NC45. Are there any WOC that have Natalie and could post a pic of yourself wearing it? I'd love to see a pic before purchasing. Thanks!

Charlotte - a deep raspberry burgundy oxblood (on me) Natalie - medium slight coral warm pink. Both are just GORGEOUS on.

Charlotte has those ^ tones but is much deeper on my lips.

It looks so beautiful. My friend usually wears browns, but I think this shade would just brighten up her complexion so beautifully! I wish I could see a good swatch on a WOC. Your swatch is starting to sell me on getting one for myself, too, though! Lol

Elegant, you're making me want Charlotte again. :getyou: I actually have to lift my chin to apply my lashes because if not, my own lashes get in the way. They're kinda long and I have to make sure I'm not sticking the lashes onto them. A lot of youtube videos I see the girls look down. I only do that when I first apply them in the middle. Then I lift my head and secure both ends. You'll figure out what works best for you. I used the duo glue and then ditched it for house of lashes glue. I'm going back to duo. I like the fact that it's black and I can never see it on. The HoL glue was supposed to be so awesome for people with watery eyes, but I don't notice a difference. It does have a brush for convenience, but I find that to be even more inconvenient than the squeeze tube. :dunno: Oh and I've been wearing lashes for 2 years now and I don't have any major lash loss. Maybe a stray one once in a blue moon, but that's probably due more to me being careless as I tend to be. Just gently pull the lashes off and get a good eye makeup remover.
