yeah I have shroom, soft brown, satin taupe and at least4 carbons in different palettes. even if each e/s cost 5.66 each, it's just not for me. I hope those getting this will like it though.

Same here. I already have quite a few of the shades so I'm having a hard time justifying the palette, as beautiful as it is. I have Soft Brown, Expensive Pink, Satin Taupe, Antiqued, Shroom and Smut. No Carbon, surprisingly enough

It is really pretty. I've been staying away form VPs though. In this collection this is quite expensive, too, compared to the 15 palette.I usually dont like veluxe pearl but this is really pretty

I have all of the permanent shades in the palette except for Shroom and Smut (which are two shades I've been meaning to get). I'm definitely still going to get the palette. The shades that I already have are shades that I use a ton, so I know that it will still be worth it for me.

I don't own any mac shadows, apart from the all about beige palette(which was pretty disappointing especially considering the price), but I looked up swatches of the permanent shades and it seemed there was a nice variety with decent pigmentation. I do feel like it would be a good basic staple palette, and the price is right, but like, I could technically make my own, and get some of the other holiday gems coming out from chanel, tarte etc. It's so hard to decide, I keep changing my mind.
The swatches will probably help you decide. It's a pretty big investment, but if the shades perform well it's a pretty good steal. I own Expensive Pink, Satin Taupe and Antiqued and those shades are really smooth, pigmented and apply really well. I wanted this palette but the repeat shades are a bit of a turn off for me and I've never owned carbon and have been trying to keep that way unless it's in a really amazing palette. If I skip this I will most be getting that beautiful highlighter from Chanel's holiday collection.

Agreed. Hoping temptalia gives it a good review, her swatches are the most accurate imo. Yeah, it's a lot of money, but at the same time, it will last for ages, and is way cheaper than build your own.Yeah, if you already have a decent amount, then it's not really worth it I'm guessing.Yeah, I really don't need a black eyeshadow, like they're so hard to blend but I guess it could work as a crease colour. Yeah, it's so gorgeous and unique, that silvery colour. So beautiful, tho that price is hard to bite, but chanel is the ultimate luxury imo.
If that palette gets a good review I doubt you will regret getting it. It's nice to have neutrals and for the price of five single MAC shadows you can have 15... I think it's hard to turn it down if you are in the market for neutrals. Some people have really smooth and pigmented carbons so maybe they improved it and the one from Maleficent's quad looked much better in Temptalia's swatches. That highlighter looks more appealing everyday and after Rocky Horror and the Matte collection only two lippies appeal to me from the Holiday collection so I'm really leaning towards getting it.

Agreed. Yeah, and like it's neutrals with just enough pops of colour to be interesting. It seems more practical than than the vice 3 palette I was previously contemplating, but then I saw temptalia's swatches, and was like I'm only in love with two of the shades, and a lot of them look powdery. Yeah very true, I just feel it's something I wouldn't use. And I wouldn't necessarily wanted a super pigmented black shade, as it would be hard for me to incorporate into a look. Also, like chanel only puts them out in le collections, so it's very get it well you can. I feel like it's super unique. I'm actually not that impressed by the design on it, like I thought some of the other chanel highlighters had prettier designs.

I would love to get the Brunette Veluxe Brow but it's too warm toned ugh So annoying MAC disc'd Taupe eyebrow pencil
I also thought Vice 3 would be awesome, I was 90% sure I would get it, but after the review I changed my mind. Even though I love all of the colors except for two the texture would irritate me (I hate hard eyeshadows) so I would rather leave it. A pigmented black eyeshadow is nice to deepen a crease. It's nice when you can just lightly dab your brush in it and get a good result. I actually love the design for some reason it makes me think of Agatha Christie's "A Caribbean Mystery".

Same. Yeah, blendability and texture is more important than pigmentation in some ways. I hate powdery shadows, and that's why I've gotten more into higher end options. That is a good tip. Yeah, I think it's supposed to be miami vice. I love the design and the bag, and the shadows look pretty in the palette. I also feel like some of the combinations were not that logical.

Part of me is hoping the es palette gets a good review and another part of me that knows I'm already spending waaaay too much money wants it to suck.
The vice palette's design is meh...the bag cover is ugly... The Chanel highlighter for some reason is the one equating to Agatha Christie for me. lol Have you tried Tom Ford's eyeshadows?
I hope it's either all good or all bad... rather than it having eight amazing eyeshadows and seven crappy ones.
