:hot: concrete, huh. Ruby Woo is beautiful but it can be a little bit dry. It is still one of my fav reds. I've learned how to better moisturize my lips. I'm a bit crazy about having something wet on my lips. Lol.
It was horrible on me! I once went to my closest MAC store and wanted to buy the Lip Conditioner among other stuff. It wasn't available and they tracked one down for me at another location. After making the trip across the city to get it, it turns out that they had saved me a Prep and Prime Lip, not the Lip Conditioner. The manager offered me a free makeover, and he used the Warm Neutral palette, which I ended up buying and some other things, Ruby Woo included. It started drying my lips right in the store, and when I was driving back, my lips felt like concrete! Horribly dry. I found a tissue in the car and removed it, and applied a big layer of Aquaphor when I came home. I also recently purged lipsticks, and most mattes and a few frosts went. My favorite MAC finishes are the Lustres and Cremesheens.

I picked up my palette from my neighbor. Off to play. I'm going to try to hold out for in store release for the other products but I'm not sure if I can hold out. I may cave and order a few more things.

I love those finishes as well! people seem to dislike lustres, but they are great - i think the sheer color is more flattering, since your own lip has a lot of influence on the look!

Brooke is 49 - I'm not surprised she didn't go with matte finishes. I used to live in mattes and satins but now that I'm not too many years off 49 I prefer a creamier slightly sheerer finish most of the time. Dark vampy matte lips are aging. It doesn't matter when you're 25. It does at 45.

I'd check out the lippies in store but I'm too anal to introduce a square shape into my stash.

Yeah, her age probably has a lot to do with her choices. I'm 45 now and I do find matte finishes increasingly hard to pull off.

I'm sorry it just did not work after you tried to find a workaround. Bummer. That sucks. I thought Prep and Prime Lip was the savior from on high. I have it too. It seems to work for me. I also exfoliate with a sugar scrub from Wegmanns.

Oh man, I'm so tempted to try and buy the palette now. All this time has passed without so much as a click on this thread. Now I'm all
