Halloween Horror Nights sounds like fun!!! SOOO jealous!

I'm awaiting the blush swatches, myself...
It is a lot of fun! We've gone the last three years. This year we decided to buy a Rush of Fear pass. You get in any amount of days you want during the first three weeks!
I want blush swatches too. I think I am 100% getting it, but I am just curious!

Dying for Karen's swatches! I need to make a decision today! I'll be heading out to Universal Orlando around 3 for Halloween Horror Nights and I told myself I need a decision by then.  Almost considering getting one more lipstick...I am such a flip-flopper!  FnF and Oblivion are for sure, I think. So is Crazed Imagination (it will be my first MAC blush if I can snag it). But if I DO decide on a third lippy, do I get Strange Journey or Sin? Ahhh!
I'd do SJ since Sin is perm. :)

Well after all this...I'm just going to go with FnF (purely as a collectible) and Crazed Imagination blush, which will also probably never get used.
I partially want FnF as a collectible too.. I never wear reds and I don't care for mattes either.... But I can't budget for 3 lippies and CI! I think it's SJ, Oblivion and CI for me. I might change my mind on CI if we get more swatches before launch.
Here is a liittle food for thought: I used to buy things simply because it was highly coveted/hard to get/collectible. I would initally be tiickled pink when I would have it my makeup stash. Then as time went along and I would see it sitting just sitting there without hardly or any use, due to the fact that I didn't want to mess it up/keep it pristine/something I just didn't reach for hardly or ever, it really made me stop and think why would I throw my money onto things I really didn't need. Makeuup is expensive enough as it is, just to buy the things we need on a daily basis. I'm not pushing that envelope any longer. Sitting somewhere in a drawer to admire, is no longer in my gameplan.

What glitter adhesive do you ladies use?
I use Fyrinnae's Pixie Epoxy! Cheap and amazing. You need the littlest amount, so it lasts forever. It works for glitter, loose pigments, and even pressed shadows that need extra oomph. Don't be turned away by the turn around time on their front page. This is just a precaution. I've used them over 15 times in the past three or so years and it has never exceeded 4 days.

Good morning ladies! I know I've been MIA. I missed you guys!! I had to go in hiding, my pockets had some deep holes in them with the last two collections. Now that I'm restored, I'm ready to shop some more.

Hey there girly! Glad to see you're back. Are you picking anything up from the collection?

The thing is that I'm a huge RHPS fan, so even if I never use the lipstick or blush I don't think I'll regret buying them since I'm such a big fan of the musical. But that's why those are the only two things I'm getting now...if this was anything other than Rocky Horror I would be skipping!

I'm on the same page with you. I went through a short period of wanting things just because they're rare or LE, but now realize I could have saved a ton of money if I had skipped them.

This x1000. "Collecting" is a dangerous thing to do with anything really, even things that don't have a shelf life. You always feel pressured to get more to have things feel "complete", to keep up with new releases, to hunt down older parts of a set, etc. All of the highly coveted/hard to get/collectible cosmetics I've purchased over the years are now 90% either B2M or in the trash. They're not worth the plastic casing they're in anymore. Most people don't want to buy used, expired makeup so they have no re-sale value. Even if it hasn't been used a lot of people don't want it. I now only try to buy products I will love and use often. Often being the key word. I personally don't want to have collections of anything ever, I've seen what the end game of that can look like if you have a perfectionist personality type and it's not pretty. And yes, things are getting more expensive every year.. I can't chase that anymore either.

Hey, I'm fine, thanks :) I wanted to get the blush, but I decided to skip. I think it might be kinda close to Plum Foolery and I'm also more into matte blushes at the moment. I'm still looking forward to see swatches of it though.
