Her skin is so much darker than mine that it's hard to judge how the colors will look on me.

Still, I liked the video.

I want that palette so bad!!!!!!!

I am so ridiculously fair. I think there is only one color in MAC that is too light for me. I'm a NW 13. In fact, the lightest shade of foundation that KVD makes is a hair too dark for me, but I use it anyway because I love her foundation so much. It's only just barely too dark, not really noticeable. I've never had a problem of a bronzer being too light, like the girl in the video. Usually bronzers are too dark! I use them for contouring.

Yeah, I love watching all the videos, but being NC15, a lot of people have darker skin tones than mine, so I just watch to see how well the products go on... On MacAhOlic, Excite looked almost fuchsia pink, whereas it looks red on almost everyone else. Maybe it is the lighting she uses. Still, I love watching videos, but I do take them with a grain of salt due to colors looking different on different skin tones.

This is how I ended up with Venomous Violet from the moody blooms collection. I saw a video of someone with much darker skin and it looks like a medium purple on her, but on me it's SUPER DARK. I wear it anyway, and tell myself it's gothic chic.

Consider me cracked...I just called my friend and had her put my palette and bronzer aside for me for launch day. I'm going to swatch the CCB before I decide on them for sure. Are you getting closer to cracking yet?

I swatched Brooke's eye brow Veluxe in-store (I swatched Brunette and Deep Brunette) and neither seemed warm/red toned like I've seen in online reviews. Didn't purchase because I was nervous I'd get home and it would look red on my brows lol Anyhoo I enjoyed your video Mandy! MAC X Journey hmmm

I dont think so. The shadows in the pre made palette are usually stuck to the pans. You might be able to using alcohol though

Yes but it will be a process just for the one shadow, only because the other methods will eff up the palette itself. The alcohol method may work to keep the integrity of the palette.

I wanted the palette so bad! But I already have some of the shadows so I didn't think it was necessary.

The shadows are dupeable. You will be ok I think. I wanted it as well, then more and more swatches came out. It is just very dupeable imo. Pretty and a good price though. That and I was given a UD book of shadows palette yesterday..so I have palettes a plenty :lol:
