I hate the packaging as well .. looks kinda cheap and not very creative!Still not sure if I should get anything from this collection...not a fan of the packaging
The price is great. But I have 5 of the permanent, and Carbon I don't want. I really only want 2-3 of the shadows, and then the price isn't so good anymore. I just have to hope MAC repromotes the one I want as singles sometime.'palette is a priced right and if you don't have those colors then you can't beat it.
yeah, you're right. I don't have Carbon and I'm mad MAC keep adding it to almost all their palettes lol.The price is great. But I have 5 of the permanent, and Carbon I don't want. Muwahahahahahaha, welcome to the dark side. Which is actually more of a bronze, coppery, purple side. :cheer:Did it!

Really? Where are you located, if I may ask?I BTM empty shadows all the time without the metal pan, both at MAC and the Bay. I've never had anyone comment; they barely glance at them, just count.
this is why I always use chrome.. that ebates button is a lovely reminder..just ordered the palette and forgot to use ebates. I have to start using chrome instead of internet explorer
Interesting! I don't undertstand why MAC can't get the shade right, especially since it's a perm one, not one that has been discontinued for a long time and is now being repromoted. The perm one looks way better IMO.@Naynadine
"This shade is permanent, but it is so much lighter than the permanent version I have. It seemed to have decent color payoff, but it wasn’t consistent in color to past iterations of the shade" From T's review of Satin Taupe!
MAC takes mine...I've done it at several in NYC and also in DC. The only thing I've ever been told is in DC they require part of the bottom label to be on, so they can tell that you're not B2Ming a free eyeshadow that you got via B2M. They put a little mark on the bottom of all their B2M freebies they give out. Every since then when I depot, I only cut the name off of the bottom label and leave the rest. Not sure why the MAC at Pentagon City cares so much. The point of the program is to encourage recycling to protect the environment, not to monitor/reward purchased items.you should try depotting, it's not that big of a deal

Right? That swatch looked so diff from the perm version! Well now that is one less dupe (satin taupe 1 & satin taupe 2)Interesting! Now trying to catch up with the RHPS thread.
I've got so many right now from my depotting spree. I think I've turned in five and have nine left.I BTM empty shadows all the time without the metal pan, both at MAC and the Bay. I've never had anyone comment; they barely glance at them, just count.
That's what I'm thinking too. Although my first ST is not 'normal' either - it's in one of those holiday or trip palettes (can't remember now).Right? That swatch looked so diff from the perm version! Well now that is one less dupe (satin taupe 1 & satin taupe 2)
