I skipped this whole collection....nothing spike to me.

I BTM empty shadows all the time without the metal pan, both at MAC and the Bay. I've never had anyone comment; they barely glance at them, just count.

I do this aswell, had a friend in the US do it and I've B2M's in Helsinki(Finland) without the pans in aswell. If they say no, I usually just shove some empty pans (You can get them for a few cents each) in the depotted packaging and they cant say no.

I'll swatch my permanent satin taupe and the one from the palette and see if mine are very different.

There may be a hair difference between my two satin taupes, but nothing like the difference Temptalia's swatches show. I don't have time to take a pic right now, but I can try to this evening.

you should try depotting, it's not that big of a deal the only problem is that I can't back2mac my empty containers anywhere :/

Won't take them without the pans??? I have heard of that happening. I do like my little pots just fine, and since I turn them in with pans, I haven't had a problem. :amused:

I thought about putting pans in but they will see that they are not the original pans, new ones are too clean, right? I think that maybe European Mac Stores take this much more serious

No, sadly they don't! At least in Germany, in my home country they don't do back2mac in general! Great

I have the quite opposite impression, that European stores are much less serious. Doesnt matter if the pan is too clean, if it's there they cant not accept it

I B2M'd the other day and the guy didn't even look in the little bag I had my empties in and just handed me over my lippy. I could of had rocks in that bag. lol

I whish they were like that where I live I also didn't know that they don't take empty eyebrow crayons for B2M!

It might be because I'm in there all the time and they all know me so he didn't check due to that and just trusted that I was turning in 6 empties. I didn't know they didn't take those either,

 MAC takes mine...I've done it at several in NYC and also in DC.  The only thing I've ever been told is in DC they require part of the bottom label to be on, so they can tell that you're not B2Ming a free eyeshadow that you got via B2M.  They put a little mark on the bottom of all their B2M freebies they give out.  Every since then when I depot, I only cut the name off of the bottom label and leave the rest.  Not sure why the MAC at Pentagon City cares so much.  The point of the program is to encourage recycling to protect the environment, not to monitor/reward purchased items.  

Oh no, I just was in New York City in july but of course don't know when I return. I live in Europe and it appears that Mac stores here take the depot-thing much more serious Thank you for your informations

this makes me feel better.. this is the first time I will actually buy eyeshadows in a loooooooooooooong time..

I'm 90% certain there's no Back2Mac in Germany. There definitely isnt in Denmark or Sweden though. Finland has Back2Mac and I'm quite certain that Estonia has aswell. I havent tried in the UK but I'm thinking they probably do aswell.
