Same here.. that's why I tend to buy whatever I can at Nordstroms. At least we get notes there.

I think you have to have their debit card that's linked to your checking, credit card or store card.

You can do a debit or credit card. I did debit because I didn't want to open another card. I really like the notes too.

Do you know your ColorIQ number? If so and you think the shades suggested are too light just go up a level in the second set of numbers and start trying things there. Also, don't be afraid to tell the SA that you prefer to go up/darker if a shade isn't perfect. Ultimately, you're the one who has to wear it so go with your preferences. I'd say you should be looking at foundations in the 2y10 or 2y09 range based on what you've shared.Yes this is my second time doi g the IQ maybe I always get someone who just doesnt knw...

Mine is 2y12 and I'm Mac nc45. They tested 3 at a time with darker and lighter, so 2y11 and 2y13. And also some foundations got either too yellow or too pink. So they swatched 3 on my face at a time.

So my local mall FINALLY got a Sephora!
As of last Friday, I no longer have to drive 2 hours away to London or cross the border into the states to go to a Sephora. So I just happened to check out the store today and managed to renew my VIB status for till the end of next year by making a couple purchases. BUT I was super grossed out to see a few high school kids trying on concealer right from the bottle directly onto their eyes, some nars blush using the sample brush on their cheeks and some lipsticks that they rubbed their finger on then applied to their lips!!! EW!
All I could think about was all the bacteria they accumulated while doing that!. It was so hard not to say something!

I see that ALL the time when I go into any Sephora. That, & makeup all over everything. Its so gross. I feel like I should wear a Hazmat suit when I go in there
