Oh no! What didn't you like about it? Was it drying? Did it settle into lines? Wear off poorly? My main concern about mattes is always that they're going to feel really dry...am hoping these won't!So.....I wore BD today, and I did not enjoy it. I'm going to try prepping my lips better, and try again, but I'm not going to deal with it if it ends up being too fussy. Especially not when I have no fuss options like the nars audacious lipsticks for cheaper.
I was just coming the say the same it is quite drying on me and unless you have a perfect prepped canvas (aka lips) it is kinda patchy/ high maintenance. Loooove the shade formula my so much :sigh:So.....I wore BD today, and I did not enjoy it. I just got BD from the mattes!! I hope it is limited to tis shade bec I was planning on picking up PC too. I guess I will wait nw! Lighter shades usually do well than deeper shades though !!Are the other shades like this too or just BD?

Thanks Sara! Maybe the lighter shades are better? Regardless, hopefully prepping will help for those of us with dry lips.Hi ladies,
I was wearing pink tease today, loved the formula. One of the most long lasting and not drying lipsticks I have ever worn.
I usually don't have dry lips though, it might be why but I haven't used anything under it to start with.

Patchy and drying. It's a bummer. I may take it back to neimans and try a lighter shade instead. I want to see if they have first time in store, and try that.I was just coming the say the same it is quite drying on me and unless you have a perfect prepped canvas (aka lips) it is kinda patchy/ high maintenance. I don't have mine yet but your pic was what made me want it!That's a bummer about your alls BD! I particularly dislike matte shades, cannot wear MAC retro Mattes for anything and BD was much more comfortable on me! I will say, it can definitely lean patchy. It does take careful application! I layered it carefully to get the best application .
My TF First Time and MAC Nouvelle Vogue are very similar on my lips in terms of formula, both were more dry going on but less drying to my lips (if you know what I mean) than Chanel Rouge Allure Velvets....but this kind of thing is very YMMV and my skin is so weird that my lips might be too! Thanks Sara! Maybe the lighter shades are better? Regardless, hopefully prepping will help for those of us with dry lips.
I'm curious - how do you think these compare to the recently released Mac mattes? I got one (Pander Me) that was quite dry but maybe that was a fluke. Just wondering how the finish and formula compare between the two.

TOTALLY know what you mean! I'm going to order First Time and BD anyway since, as you say, everyone's lips are different! But I have been really curious whether the TF mattes would be worth the price tag or whether they'd feel comparable to most matte formulas. I'm hoping for the former!
Thanks for your initial impressions. That's good to hear. Looking forward to your post!I am writing a post about it.
Tom Ford are easier to wear (less drying) and last longer on me. Yet again I only tried Pink Tease. I have some on their way to me so I will see.
