Hi!
I couldn't find a thread on here about the new set of 12 Tom Ford lipsticks. From my quick 5 minute search I came across swatches, a testimonial that they were long lasting (until lunch), set up as 4 nude shades- 4 bold shades- 4 dramatic shades, one poster thought it was something affordable to buy if you couldn't afford Tom Ford clothing than you could get a lipstick, the lipsticks smell like cookies & cream aero bar mixed with nut chocolate caramel, the tube made a way cool "click", and one post that a new user broke out in 2 cold sores following use. So, I am looking for more info. before trying myself. What are your experiences? or What have you heard?

sheesh.. so you buy underpigmented/overpriced ls?

makes no sense to me.. but then I don't make sense either.. lol

(you can tell I don't think much of his mu line?)

So you've tried it? ... well that's more evidence against.... I thought the candy smell was also odd in a gross way and weird contrast to the sophisticated packaging. I think I also read Estee Lauder made the lipsticks on order to Tom Ford's colour pics ....

I've tried it and nothing more than a nice packaging, and the price tag.

I saw 2 of the colors at a CCO in California last month...$30 at the CCO.

I own two, and I love them -- "Blush Nude" & "Bruised Plum." They're my two favorite lipsticks. In my experience, they're heavily pigmented and long-lasting but not drying. They don't wear off on my Starbucks cup in the morning, but do after food. Yes, $45 is insane for a lipstick and yes, I do believe the majority of it is for the name and the packaging (which is a bit cumbersome in my makeup bag because it's quite heavy,) but when I love it, I love it.

I have Black Orchid, which is the darkest colour. It's nice, but there are nicer lipsticks out there for a lesser price. His lipsticks are around the same price as Guerlain's Rouge G and I don't find the formula nearly as nice as Guerlain's. I'd put the Tom Ford lipsticks on about the same level as YSL. Only YSL is about two-thirds the price. From what I've tried, the colour I have may not represent the best of his line. I'm given to understand that the bright and mid-range colours are the real stars. I tried on Vanilla Suede and it looked like cheap concealer on my lips. Black Orchid is nice, but goes on a little unevenly. I think that the reds and plums are really where it's at here. That said, you could buy a YSL lipstick for less money...

my bff bought me "blush nude" for my bday and i must confess it is the most creamy, silky, non sticky lipstick I have ever used.... just not sure if I would make the purchase myself - I absolutely love the formula.

I'm on the fence about trying a tom ford lipstick... I was thinking of picking out a nude and a burgundy. But if other brands are just as good id rather not pay fifty bucks...

I've just went on T's website, and there's a lipstick collection being released for Black Friday and re-released on Boxing Day

Casey, Alsdhair, Kyril and Liam. It's bound to change when I see swatches, but Casey and Kyril are very different. They remind me of a silver lipstick I used to own when I was a teenager. I've always been into unconventional lipsticks when I was 13 (mum wasn't amused about me wearing blue lipstick when we're out and about together)

I have to admit that I love some of the names. I'll bet some will eventually become most popular baby names

I would name my son Kyril... I'll actually use it as a middle name. My mum's not so bothered now, as I'm pushing 30. But in my teens, it was about the silver glittery lipstick, that blue lipstick that Left Eye was wearing in the No Scrubs video, I even had glittery green lipstick and I really miss it
