After class today, I thought: "The hell with it, I'm going to try them on my lips." And wouldn't you know, I completely misjudged them! I reaaaalllly LOVE Luciano on my lips. The hand swatch didn't impress me too much, but I am glad I decided to lip-swatch. Wes isn't as much of a love, because it's pretty similar to BD, but it has such a pretty extra dimension to it from the shine and micro shimmer (I think I spotted some in the bullet!)

Why did I have to go and look at T's swatches?! Now I want Jack, Tomas, Guillermo, Henry and Richard. Too bad I have to narrow that down to one. Any suggestion on what you think will work best with my skintone?

I think Richard will be a beautiful nude. Guillermo is also a nice brown but you may not need Richard along with that if you already have a nude that works. Tomas is on my list. I think it's gorgeous. Jack I think may be more dupable.

That was my train of thought also. I have so many lipsticks in general it would take me a couple years to finish them and only if I stopped buying more lol. I've never tried TF lipsticks so I thought the minis would be a good way to try without committing to a $50 lipstick!

So beautiful. Looking at T's swatches, I think I ordered one that was too brown for me (Gustavo). I guess one dud out of ten blind ordered isn't bad? I'm excited about the rest of my choices--should be here tomorrow or later this week? I'm not super worried about patchy application for some reason. I think if I go with a lip brush I should be okay.

It's so hard to narrow these down. I think I ordered ten in total. It's hard NOT to want Julian (which I didn't order!)

Thanks everyone!! I just wish Wes was opaque, it isn't at all, it's very sheer! And it picked up imperfections very easily (dry skin, lip lines, etc)

I'm excited because mine are supposed to arrive tomorrow. But I really wonder on some that the pigment and opacity isn't as good as Nars Audacious. Are we all being seduced by the label? I'm starting to think, like some have said, no one can touch the quality of the Nars & for less $? Talk me off the ledge???lol.:shrugs:

It's just a matter of personal preferences and your lips, I think. The NARS Audacious lipsticks are a bit drying on me unfortunately.

You know, I'm not really in love with the new Nars formula. I'm not sure why. They're really, really great, especially at that price point. I even own 4! However, I rarely find myself reaching for them. I'm not sure what it is about them. I feel like the shades I own are pretty dupeable and have no dimension (if that makes sense?) They seem plain to me. I have Janet, Anna, Audrey, and Anita. I definitely find myself reaching more for my TF and Guerlain lippies.

Additionally, I got 2 day shipping and my order from NM still hasn't shipped. Unless it ships late tonight and makes it here in one day (I doubt) it was a waste! Boooooo. I just wanna play with all the other boys I ordered!
