Here's my Lips and Boys stash from Selfridges. Wasn't going to bother with these, but then I had a moment of online shopping weakness late one evening after a stressful day at work

. Have only tested out Francesco so far.

Ended up going for some more unusual shades that I don't already own due to their mini size.

There's Kyril, Francesco, Jack, Peter, Alasdhair, Tomas and Stavros.


The texture of Francesco is really beautiful on. Weirdly I really like the smaller size of the bullet for applying on the lips - it's easy to work with. Here are some swatches. I'm a NW13 for reference.

Francesco looks great on you! I like your strategy of getting the more unusual shades. I'm doing the same. And I actually agree with you about the smaller size being easier to apply!

Alasdhair does look interesting. It truly doesn't look like its bullet when swatched. I know that is disappointing for some but I like the actual swatch. Seems like a color up my alley.

I've gotta also say I wasn't feelin the presentation from TF. At all. gucci had great presentation of product, Beautylish does, so does Net-a-Porter. I thought TF's kinda sucked. The NM box presentation looks nice.

Yes, the neimans case is quite nice.

Can't wait to get my Neiman's order. Finally got the shipping confirmation. I did pick up my TF order today: Omar, Pavlos, Liam, Gustavo, and Alasdhair. I hope to post swatches over the weekend.

Peter and Alejandro just arrived to complete my haul. Went from Team Skip to 7. OOPS! And it's hard to ignore Alasdhair and Liam. Luckily for me they are not readily available right now or I'd be in trouble!! It's dark out, so my initial reactions to both Alejandro and Peter are in artificial light. I LOVE them both! Alejandro might just be my favorite pick of all 7. Yes, I know it's a repromote, but I don't have it-- I just got into TF products very very recently. I am happy to have him. He is different from Luciano, albeit minutely. It's hard to tell in my crappy kitchen lighting. I *do* know for sure that Alejandro has beauuutiful microshimmer that gives it an extra dimension that Luciano doesn't have. I do not know if they'll be detectable on the lips, though. I shall refrain from lip swatching until I can see them in full sunlight, in all their beauty!

Peter is unique! I don't know if I'd call it mauve. It pulls a little like neutral/nude with a nice shimmer to it. I have pretty pigimented pink lips, I think. And while a fair, light shade, Peter does a great job of covering my lips. I don't have a shade like this at all! It shall take some time to get used to, but he's definitely a keeper.

That's ok Lauren...just enjoy your 'magnificent 7'

Pablo, Francesco, Justin, Cooper and Jack are pretty but might be basically the same fuchsia-pink shade on my lips​

Thank you so much for these swatches and especially of Pavlos. That's my concern based on the pjotos I've ssen so far, that it looks kind of sheer. How many swipes did you do to take the pic and do you think the color is buildable?

It's not super sheer and builds well. I think I did three passes in the swatch.

My boys came home! Ordered on Monday, shipped on Tuesday I think, so they came in two days from the UK.

Ok. So the boys arrived from NM. Gotta say this presentation totally changed my perspective. They look nice in the little box and I'm keeping these- Peter, which looks like a nice nude, Guillermo and Gustavo which, for my nc25ish skin that has a slight yellow undertone, are dark, brownish, vampy for me. I'm usually into very nude lips and dark eye makeup. Keeping Henry, another nudey brown. But I'm sending back some to TF because I have doubles now of Gustavo and Guillermo. Didier and Xavier are beautiful, but it's rare for me to wear darker shades in that berry/wine family so I'll be returning. But they're really beautiful. So bottomline- they're expensive for the size they are. But I'm keeping most of them because they're lovely and I never really actually finish a lipstick with as many as I have. It's indulgent, but they're lovely and ultimately, to me, worth it. Enjoy yours, ladies! I will. Imma try to get some swatches up but things are crazy at my house with family's medical issues so hope to get to it. :cheer:

Oh no---I caught you!!! Which one did you get Dilli?? I wore Nude Dip yesterday---applied for the first time
using a damp brush-----OMG. It made the most beautiful neutral eye, and it didn't compete with my bold red lips!!!!

I got Violet Dusk. If I get another one It cannot be purple!
