So the sun finally came out and of course my face is so dry and I'm breaking out but here is Jack. I wish he showed up on the lips more purple like in the bullet but alas he pulls more pink on the lips. A really nice orchid shade nonetheless. Very creamy and pretty opaque.

What am I doing wrong that my pictures aren't just there? Why do you have to click the link to open plus not all are showing? I labeled which were which, but it's not showing? I've never downloaded pics before. I clicked import images, I clicked attachment to download?? Thanks :(

Love this on you. But then you look amazing in just about every color.

Okay, click on the little picture icon in the reply box (when you hover over it it should say insert image) and then click upload files. You can do multiples but I usually just do one at a time, this should embed the image.
Thanky, thanky. I'm a cotton-headed ninny muggings! I see I downloaded attachments rather than images- duh! Now I'm hating my pics! I've gotta take another selfie- my nose looks cray cray at that angle- I don't even recognize myself! LOL.

Just wanted to post a little bit of swatch spam for you lovely ladies!
I swatche the three shades I got on NC30 skin.

I also uploaded a first impression video if you want to check it out.

"Alasdhair"

Tom Ford Lips & Boys Lipstick in "Alasdhair" is described as a rich blackened orchid. Although the shade is beautiful, it applies unevenly and sticks to dry spots on my lips. I found this shade wore best if I blotted my lips after application. This allows "Alasdhair" to leave a subtle vampy stain behind. Honestly, I had higher expectations for this $32 miniature lipstick. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Gustavo

Tom Ford Lips & Boys Lipstick in "Gustavo" is described as a highly pearlized rich mocha with purple pearl. Ok... Who is writing these descriptions? This shade does not appear to be "highly pearlized" nor can I detect any "purple pearl". Maybe I need my eyes checked? On the upside, "Gustavo" is a beautiful rich mocha. I love this shade. It feels comfortable on my lips and builds easily from medium to almost full opacity. It's worth checking out! Just don't let the shade description get you over excited.

"Stavros"

Tom Ford Lips & Boys Lipstick in "Stavros" is a highly pearlized rich grey. I love this one! It has a buildable coverage that can achieve a medium-to-full opacity. It feels lightweight and pleasantly slick on my lips. This shade reminds me of a high end version of the independent makeup brand Melt Cosmetics' matte grey lipstick in "Space Cake". If you're looking to add something special and unusual to your collection, I highly recommend "Stavros".

It is SO hard to photograph some of these lippies because the colors just don't want to appear true! The color on my lips and in the swatch is the truest I can capture (looking kind pink in the bullet here). It wants to photograph straight pink but it really is a lavender/lilac pink. I hope you can see that here!

Also I personally find this formula to be trickier than the others I've gotten so far. It's got more slip which always causes me problems because it won't stay in place on my bottom lip and tends to move to the rough areas. I added a little clear balm on top (Marc Jacobs lip lock moisture balm is what I use) and that seemed to help it stay put. All that said, I absolutely love the color. It's definitely unique to anything I own.

Gorgeous on you EllaS. What is your skintone?
Aww thank you! Well I wear YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat in BD-50. So, light (to medium in summer) with warm golden undertones. I've never worn Mac but based on what I've read from others online wearing this shade I *think* that might be around Mac NC30 (give or take).

very pretty, it's reminding me of a nars audacious color... anyone else? Maybe a darker Anna? Fanny?

So far I want Starvos, Wes, and Diego... Maybe even Jack....

Ok, I managed to catch a glimpse of light (we had total 13 hours of sun during the month of November... it's not much better now) so here are my boys applied lightly: Patrick Luca Matthew
Love them all

LOL When I first read that description of Gustavo I was like Oooooohh purple pearl! Must have! And than I was like, wait a minute, tiny little flecks of purple...it's still a brown lipstick. Let me wait on swatches. Haha. Tom Ford has good marketing writers for sure.

Great swatches, and I appreciate your candid impressions. You saved $$$$ for a friend of mine who was dying to get her hands on Alasdhair.
