The fact that Jack isn't as purple on the lips is the one thing that's still got me on the fence about him. This shade looks gorgeous on you regardless, but like you I do wish he were a little purpler!So the sun finally came out and of course my face is so dry and I'm breaking out but here is Jack. I wish he showed up on the lips more purple like in the bullet but alas he pulls more pink on the lips. A really nice orchid shade nonetheless. Very creamy and pretty opaque.
I have Matthew and Luca too and was also just trying to get some decent pics of them today. I can only recall about 20 minutes of sunlight in the last week so I was trying to take advantage of the light today too! Thanks for the swatches. These look great on you . I was surprised Luca was as light and borderline frosty as it was on my lips. I was thinking it would be brighter and creamier. In fact in my arm swatch it was quite a bright peach but it's much more subdued on my lips. What did you think of it?Ok, I managed to catch a glimpse of light (we had total 13 hours of sun during the month of November... it's not much better now) so here are my boys applied lightly:

Is Luca frosty in the same way that Pink Dune was or more traditionally frosty looking -- if that makes any sense?
I know what you mean and I'm not even exactly sure if frosty is the right word. I don't have Pink Dune, although I did order William which is supposed to be a repromote of Pink Dune (just haven't gotten it yet), but William is listed under the metallic finishes? So I'm a bit confused on how to describe these finishes LOL. Anyway I'm not sure how to describe Luca so let me put a picture up so you can see. Oh good well I'm glad you still like it! And it totally is pretty and again here I go with the "unique" word, but it is. It's just so hard when you buy blind you sometimes have a vision in your head, and then if it turns out to be something a little different, there's a little disappointment there...even if there's absolutely nothing wrong with what you got! If you get it, post some pics. I'd love to see it on you!

I'm not sure if the finish comes across here but it's got quite a glaze/sheen/frost finish to it and as a result it's not as bright on the lips as in the arm swatch. It's still pretty, but I just didn't expect the finish.

It is SO hard to photograph some of these lippies because the colors just don't want to appear true! The color on my lips and in the swatch is the truest I can capture (looking kind pink in the bullet here). It wants to photograph straight pink but it really is a lavender/lilac pink. I hope you can see that here!
Also I personally find this formula to be trickier than the others I've gotten so far. It's got more slip which always causes me problems because it won't stay in place on my bottom lip and tends to move to the rough areas. I added a little clear balm on top (Marc Jacobs lip lock moisture balm is what I use) and that seemed to help it stay put. All that said, I absolutely love the color. It's definitely unique to anything I own.
I'm dying to have Olivier and Luca now too. I'm loving the formula. I definitely need to slow down this crazy lips and boys train.

I'm justifying it because IMO some of these lippies are quite interesting/unusual so I doubt I'd find something similar in a luxury brand. The lipstick train will most certainly slow down significantly after this release...unless TF decides to launch another 50 in the spring in which case I'm in trouble LOL.

Oh, WOW! I love this shade on you the most.OK last one for the night. Here is Matthew. Matthew is so bright I was really shocked when I put it on! Very pretty color though. For me this will probably be a summer shade I think because of the vibrancy. Love the formula.
