I got gel nails for a holiday and my nails were in terrible condition after them, they lasted well but then the condition of my nails was pretty terrible, that's the only thing I worry about them.

I have almost switched to all TF brushes. I have a couple Mac and a couple Hakhuhodo; I seem to reach for the TF ones consistently, especially for the eyes. Depending on the blush I use, I may reach for a Sigma one. The TF Cheek blush is great, but sometimes not the best with each blush.
I have the face brushes, Now I need to get the eye brushes as well. The cheek brush is my favorite and the the bronzer brush---that one is just insane. I think it's
too big for bronzing so I use it for beauty powders. It's just so luxurious!!!

They do wreak havoc on your nails, often leaving them thin & brittle. They can also render you more prone to fungus infections.

Was just doing my nails with Plum Noir and thinking about how little love the nail polishes get overall.

This is my HG formula, and the only one that lasts more than 24 hours without chipping. I just wish the permanent line was bigger!
Starletta, I have to agree with you here. I only have a few TF NPs but they last a long time on me. I'd like to get more but I have > 400 NPs.
I guess at this rate what's a few more right?

I have a problem with nail polish chipping really badly on me, they only last a day or less on me like you say. Haven't tried TF but I don't dare as I could spend a lot of money and waste it if it doesn't let a day. It's so annoying!!
My problem is using the keyboard and washing my hands quite frequently. For me it all depends on what I'm doing on a given day. I used to wonder the same thing about the wear-time of some of my NPs until I started paying attention to what I was doing with my hands. However, that said, TF NP has lasted longer than any other NP that I own, and I have a pretty brand-diverse collection.

I think I will try a TF eye brush and a Hakuhodo blush brush.

You may need a sticky base coat. Orly has a good one but the name slips me. I've been using Revlon Colorstay's base coat and it works wonders. I could keep paint on for at least 5 days whereas I would have chipping in a day!
