I don't get it though, it's soooo much easier to just post the link where you got the info from than to go through all the drama of cropping a pic.

Maybe it's a thief thing. They want to make their followers believe that they're posting original content.

I don't think the followers care/are aware of what really goes on. TM thinks that because they now tag the people they steal from that it's okay. It's so not. They are diverting traffic from the people who have done all the leg work!

Spam/Scam Then it says they'll remove it if it violates their policies.

I believe if you select "this doesn't belong on IG" you can type a reason. But I'm not 100% sure.

You should be able to report the entire profile for copyright infringement
