NARS Audacious Lipstick

A friend of mine went to the US for a few days and he came back with Anna

I love this lipstick so much. The color is just perfect! It's like a darker version of MAC's Brave (which is my most worn lippie) without shimmer. I love that!

First I was a little bummed bec when I received it you could see that someone has tried it on before. I was grossed out when I saw that. I don't get why people do that. It is just so rude to try on a new lippy that someone else might be buying later on. I mean the lipstick itself is expensive enough... Not that it would have been any different if it would be cheaper.
Now after disinfecting it a few times it's fine and I can wear it. It's just not necessary to try on products that will be sold later especially if there are testers.

Sorry just wanted to get that off my mind.

I'm so glad you received Anna! I'm sorry you got a used one. Also I agree, I'll never understand those people I see ripping into boxes and trying them on..when there is a perfectly good tester right there. I keep an eye out always, and take the used lippie off the shelf and give it to the workers. Let them know what I saw being done.

Yep, I don't understand why people have to do this if they don't intend to buy the lipstick. If they'd buy it they can do whatever they want with it.
I find that disrespectful, gross and unnecessary.

Anyway, I'm in love with this lipstick so I can ignore that for now :)

Unless you open the box, use it and then buy the same one you used..that is ok. But using it and putting it back..is nasty! I bought Barbara today :love: excited for her to arrive.

Ugh hate when people do that!! I rarely go to the sephora JCp here for the same reason! I was there last time to get bauhau5 since the actual store was out of it and each one of them they had was opened!! I asked the girl there to check if they had more in stock that were not on display! She was just grumpy and was like yeah it's opened but doesn't mean it's used! Well it doesn't mean it isn't either! I just told her that i hope her day gets better and left lol!!

If there'd be no tester at all I'd understand why people would like to open one lipstick (with asking for permission). I don't see why people would open them just for fun.
I always try lippies on my wrist or hand first. If I only do that it doesn't really matter to me if it is a tester or an unopened/unused lipstick.

That's the good thing with MAC. They always have their new lippies in these drawers, it's nearly impossible to get a used one there, I think.

People can be so foul - I worked in a department store in cosmetics and fragrance for 9 years casually as a student and I can tell you I rarely buy things that are on display and unsealed.

I'm guessing yours was from Sephora and on display? When I went to the US on vacation I checked every item I got from Sephora very thoroughly - it bothers me that high end items are just sitting around getting touched,opened and used. I just wish every brand, from the cheapest to the most expensive, was safety sealed. Then you would never have to worry!!

I just got Ingrid in tonight and didnt think I'd seen a picture uploaded for her yet. I hope this is useful. I think right now I'm NC15ish. Right now I'm mostly using Benefit's Hello Flawless in "I'm pure 4 sure". Have a great weekend, everyone!

I really want to buy a vampy shade from this range, but all the darker colors confuse me and I don't know which one would look best on me
