People can be so foul - I worked in a department store in cosmetics and fragrance for 9 years casually as a student and I can tell you I rarely buy things that are on display and unsealed.

I'm guessing yours was from Sephora and on display? When I went to the US on vacation I checked every item I got from Sephora very thoroughly - it bothers me that high end items are just sitting around getting touched,opened and used. I just wish every brand, from the cheapest to the most expensive, was safety sealed. Then you would never have to worry!!

Yes, it was from Sephora. You're so right! It wouldn't increase the costs of a lipstick immensely if they just added a little plastic strap or a plastic wrapping.
I mean these lipsticks cost more than 30$ they could have thought of "protecting" them a little better.

I'm not sure why, but I feel like these shades have an ability to "adapt" to whomever is wearing them. Despite being very opaque, they can look quite different from one person to the next, which makes it a little tricky to determine from photos how something will look on you (yay for photos of shades on lots of different people here on Specktra!), but it also means that there's a greater chance that any shade will work on you.

If you look at the deepest, darkest shades, there is a real range- brown, red/ burgundy, purple- so it's more a question of whether you'd like something with a cooler or warmer undertone.

Charlotte! Lovely worn as a stain if you don't want to go full vamp, and a pretty universally flattering colour IMO.

I wore Marisa today. She blew me away!

Marisa has to be the most underrated shade in the range. I don't hear much buzz about her, but she's that perfect warm, vivid pink- which wore like iron.
