The formula is very similar. If anything, I'd say that Oxblood feels a little...thicker... if that makes sense. In all honesty, they are basically the same lipstick to me, and I'm someone who usually tries to look for even the slightest differences. Kinda Sexy runs just a hair pinker on me and Oxblood a hair peachier. I have to swatch them side by side and really stare at them to see any difference, though.

I'm so disappointed in this collection, red lips for spring are a huge WTF, the blushes are crappy, usually the spring collections are the best collection of the year Imo. Fantasy Of Flowers was one of my favorite collections ever from MAC. I skipped this one.

Seriously hoping that Oxblood is pinker on me---I love kinda sexy, but I probably wouldn't have bought this if I knew they were exact dupes. Mine should come Monday. Here's hoping!

Ugh come on, part of me knew that same thing was going to happen with the blushes as it did with the Proenza ones with the "film" over it that makes it hard to get color payoff. Grrrrr. Sorry but at $32 for a damn blush they need to fix that problem!!

FoF was very spring looking..well what is considered in the "norm" for spring. But red lips are very hot for all year round. However they fit the collection well imo. I don't like restrictions on my makeup based on seasons. The blushes are good for those who feel they are heavy handed on the blush or if you'd want a gentle flush of color to the cheeks.

Just makes me sad cause I really want more colors similar to FoF, or even a few repromotes, especially of the lipsticks. I wear red lips occasionally, but I'm still not very fond of them, and it seems to be the only thing MAC wants to release lately...the same identical reds over and over.

Here here. I'll wear a vampy lip all year round if I can, haha. And I love corals all year round too....wear what you love I say.
Red's are always classic it's true, although I actually don't wear them much, which is the only reason I didn't get any of the lippies. I've barely worn my Marilyn lippes haha. The red I usually wear is either Studded Kiss(my FAVE) or UD Gash.

Can anyone do a comparison swatch of this collection's Ripe Peach with Ocean City from Proenza Schuler; and a swatch of this version of Azalea Blossom?
I just saw Allura's video and it makes want to skip everything except for the green pearlglide pencil. :/ That green looks so cool but I have no idea where I'd go out wearing that.

I think the Fantasy of Flowers was one of the best from last year. The floral theme and the colors were excellent. Many people didn't like the luster finish of the lipsticks, but I think it was the perfect finish to choose from since it reflected a flower's delicacy. I have higher hopes for the Bao Bao Wan and MAC is Beauty collections.

I'm wary of her video and her review of the blushes. None of the other bloggers had as much problems picking up the colour from the blushes. I'm hoping it's just her blush/brush. Karen from MBB is darker than Allura Beauty and I could see the pigment way better in her swatches. I also noticed Heather didn't have any problem getting it to swatch. I'm probably an ignorant when it comes to the makeup by seasons thing because where I live it's summer nearly every year. I find it a bit ridiculous, especially when it comes to perfumes. Red lips are and will always be something classic no matter what. I like this collection due to the artistry of the collaborators rather than the actual products per say. It may not scream typical Spring, but it offers a nice alternative for the people who like something more dramatic. My favorite reds happen to be permanent shades (Russian Red and Sin), so I don't feel like I'm missing out with any of the other lipsticks from this collection but I'm also redded out. I agree with you about the blushes but at the price point of $32 and less product, the majority of the people expected something more pigmented and with higher product quality instead of something sheer and having to fidget around to make it work.

I'm crossing Oxblood off my list. I purchased Kinda Sexy tonight so I don't feel I need Oxblood now. I'll get Sin in it's place.

But, I don't think this was Mac's annual big Spring collection. The big spring collection typically isn't a designer collab. I think Mac is Beauty is supposed to be it this year, not 100% sure because I haven't kept very up-to-date lately.
