MAC X Toledo Collection (Feb 5, 2015)

Did anyone purchase any of the nail polishes in this collection? They were more of afterthought for me but I think I might want one or two of them now. I just haven't seen swatches anywhere.

In Heather's fotd video she does wear the nailpolish. She also used the mascara which wasn't even on my radar but it went on really well. I'm still not getting it but now that she has used the Chlorphyl liner I think I might pick that up.

Ok I seriously had a dream about the Bellgreens palette so I have to get it

When I sleep on my back I have the most crazy, vivid dreams and I envisioned what the swatches looked like on dark skin! I'm crazy smh. Has anyone with skin dark as NW45 had Ripe Peach from any collection and thought it was good for dark skin? I think it I'm gonna pick it up now but that film...

I had a dream about it too! Lolz You should definitely get it! I wanted to get it, but I already own Gorgeous Gold, so I decided to skip.

Not really a red lip wearer but out of curiosity do you wear different types (matte vs satin) of reds for different times of year? Thanks

Mattes all the way for me. Especially for bold lips, even more so in the warmer weather. I don't need my lips melting and bleeding off onto my face, and if it's a creamier texture AND and bold lip, that is NOT a pretty combo in the warmer months. So i just stick with a matte lip for anything bold and I'm good! :wink:

So how deep do you have to go to get through that film?

My Proenza one didn't have any film but I hear some people say they just swirled a scratchy brush in theirs and were good to go. Your best bet may be to try in store if you can to avoid the hassle of ordering and then having to return it if you don't like it. Mind you, when I swatched the Proenza ones in the store display they were stiff as hell but that could be from all the oils on people's fingertips.

I never was really into reds. But some of my fav colors are reds. Studded Kiss, Absolute Power, True Red, Ruffian Red, & Rocker. And can def be pulled off for spring/summer. Esp True Red...

Still lemming Ripe Peach ugh lol. I love Allura, but the oils on our fingers can actually put that film on the product. So I kinda giggled when she did that. I was like you're making it worse! Lol. I usually prefer a light flush of color in blushes. Esp if you're a jelly hehe

Okay so I haven't gotten my Azalea Blossom yet, but when it comes, I am ready! I just dug at my Proenza blushes with a few swipes of the Real Techniques stippling brush, and boom - they're working beautifully. Thanks to those of you who said to do this, I had given up hope!

Thanks to everyone for all the feedback. Based on what I'm seeing, I'm going to skip the entire collection. I either have dupes for what I like or won't look good in the stuff that's new to me.

I might end up getting Victoriana. I missed out on Love Goddess and have been wanting a good pinky red. But is it simular at all to Absolute Power?
