All Things Sephora

My Sephora doesn't have EL in it, so I'd have no idea which shade to try. I have heard good things about it though. I am oily, so maybe this would be okay for me. Not sure if I can handle the scent though. I'm not even sensitive to most smells! One of my favorite products is the Guerlain Meteorites and lord knows those things are *FRAGRANCED* :haha: I think I'm just going to give it a try once. It could really be just from my current headache that makes me more sensitive to smells. We'll see. Luckily the return policy at Sephora is great! I really want to try the new Nars foundation, too! 

A lot of people swear by the Kat Von D foundation, I hope you end up liking it!

I got the new Nars Luminous Weightless Foundation in Siberia.

Its a tad yellow/white than I normally like on my skin. I currently wear/love Tom Ford's foundation in Buff which blends into/matches my skin perfectly.

Having said that, it gives my skin a beautiful flawless, pretty soft pale look with subtle luminosity. It covered fairly well - I would say you could get light to medium coverage .Its quite beautiful on. The consistency is a wonderful soft very lightweight no feel texture on the skin. I tested a cream blush on one cheek, & powder blush on the other over it. The cream didn't blend out quite as well as it does over my TF foundation, but still not bad at all.

I guess right now I am undecided mostly because of the shade. If it had just a tad more pink to it, it would be perfection. I do really like it though.

Note: my skin is rather dry on my hands/arms right now. The left side is a heavy swatch & just to the right of it - it is blended into my skin.

i went into Sephora yesterday and swatched that palette

i wasn't impressed. i think even wet the darker shades would be good but im not a dark shade type everyday wear-er and to me darker shades can tend to look the same meshed n blended with each other! I've read wonderful reviews n folks sayin its a MUST HAVE palette but it just didn't wow me enuff to drop $80!!! i did end up $120 later leaving wit YSL choc in style lippie and nude provocateur gloss, Sephora fig lip stain n 2 of those mermaid showers which BTW stated "online only" on the site (got sea horse and siren charm) DMN YOOOOOU SEPHORA **bangs fist on table** i wanted to wait for the next sale for spring time lol

im skippin on basically all these lippies throughout the year! i love me some BITE but i just rather not stalk, out beat n grab these LE shades that could be a hit or miss. I'd rather invest in higher end perm shades becuz lets face it....the shades to come will be mauves, nudes, reds, more pinks, corals and blah blah blah

but the mere idea of it being LE and like a 100 produced makes anyone have in their mind its a must have cuz not everyone can get it lol.

You mean melt dark room? I think this bite shade will be way lighter and more pink than dark room. I understand not wanting to shell out the money though. It does feel like a ridiculous price hike.

Lauren that shade looks close to Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte, La Romanesque (Violet) 50, but I thought you already had this one.
You can also check out Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Rayonnante (Pinky-Plum) 145.

I agree, I think it's likely close to Romanesque! and Yes, I do have it.

Some of the colors are lacking, but compared to the original I like the semi sweet better. I like the colors in this one. The last row is my favorite.

Got my new Marc Jacobs Contour brush yesterday! Thinking about getting the new Dior e/s palette in the green option, the Laura Mercier paint wash liquid lipsticks, the Clinique contouring/blush thing in berries, and the new Chantecaille trio (not at Sephora though). How did you run out of things to buy?!? I never have that problem!

Oh, and the new Bobbi Brown brightening brick in cranberry. See?!?
