I got my Marc Jacobs 100 point perk in the mail today. My first impression was..."Where's the rest of it!?"
girlhaha.gif
I knew it was a mini, but I was expecting a slightly larger mini. The color is more pink than I thought it was going to be, but it's definitely a pretty color.

I am going to grab another one in store tomorrow as I called to place an item on hold and they said they have quite a bit of the MJ perks left.
It's a normal sized mini lipstick to me. I also love that it's pinker and more bright than I was expecting. I need to use a lip liner with it though.

I'm thinking I might pick it up too
Awww, I loved Clara!! I'm sure it'll eventually get to Sephora. Hopefully, it'll be in time for the Chic Week sale. Have you tried pressing the primer. I know some of those silicone mattifying primers are supposed to be pressed into the skin rather than rubbing like a cream.
yeah clara is lovely

It appears smaller than usual to me. It's even smaller than the MUFE Birthday lipstick from last year. I'm not writing a letter to corporate or anything...just my observation.

You may as well grab one if like it. If your store has it in stock, you can even swatch the tester first. Sephora's point perks usually don't move me so I figured why not grab a backup of a perk that is actually decent.

I'm pissed Anastasia isn't releasing the dark contour palette in Sephora but she'll release light and tan:mad:  Wtf maybe darker shades don't sell well because no one can access them readily. Are we just supposed to put blind trust in any company? I know I'm not buying jack from Anastasia's website because I've heard their shipping is a joke. Until those contour palettes and liquid lipsticks are available at Sephora I can do without. But on another note I've been trying the Hourglass primer and it's not working. Is there a trick to mattifying primers I don't get because none work on me. I let it sit for a couple of minutes and still no great results. I will say I tried the new Too Faced primer and I think it works way better. I only had to blot once within 8 hours. But my foundation didn't last ten hours before creasing minimally. Any suggestions?  The only thing that has worked for me 100% is the MUFE Mist and Fix (I spray before and after makeup) which literally seals the oil in my face. No oiliness for 12 hours! I haven't had any problems with it but I'm always afraid it'll clog my pores because even if I feel oily it doesn't show through.
I did not like that Hourglass primer, either. I'm using Too Faced right now and it's okay. Really, I think the Urban Decay DE-slick or whatever it's called is doing the trick for me right now.

When a brand seems to have even a slight disregard for deeper skin tones, they automatically go on my "no" list. There are too many fun things out there to try to be wasting time. And that Hourglass primer is okay...it works best fo me in small amounts, in the dead of summer. I'll have to check out that MUFE spray!

I didnt even know ABH had a dark contour palette. Bullshit that she won't release it to Sephora but the others are readily available for the masses. I know I should be used to it by now but I get so mad at companies who forget that HEY, we need makeup too! I bought so much from Mac x Riri because she went out of her way to make shades to suit darker skinned people. I was so mad that Armani's Luminous Silk Foundation stops making shades in .25 increments once it gets into the darker colors because that is everyones HG foundation and they don't even have a shade to suit me smh! Or when I was the darkest Givenchy shade even though I am probably in the lighter-medium end of the dark spectrum.. like what? Do better if you want our business! /rant

I don't think that's true. At first, only the light one was available. Then as more requests came, the medium/tan one recently got released onto Sephora's website. This dark one is new, it'll eventually hit Sephora but I guess the trial stage is her website. Don't forget Sephora also has to agree to sell these items. Brands don't just up and drop off their boxes at Sephora lol. That said, if you're dark/deep skinned, I'd skip the ABH palettes altogether as they're just too warm toned to be true contour colours. They would more work as bronzers. I do wish though that you could just buy the individual pans you wanted from Sephora. Nobody really need 3 highlight shades and 3 contour shades unless you're an MUA lol.

I got my Marc Jacobs mini points lipstick today & I really love the shade on! Its kind of a pinker rosier Mac Meir.

I also got the last Algenist 500 point set in the store. They had nearly nothing left in the nano lip pencils. I got Candid candy.

FOrgot to place my order for the MJ mini.
I f you all go to your stores and see the nano liners are still $1, will you let us know?
They still had the sign up in my store when I went in there today and the sales associate confirmed they were $1.i asked her to check for Pleasant Plum and she said everyone has been buying them up since they were only $1. If only she knew.

So a question on VIB points... We get a point for every dollar spent, right? So if we are getting something for 100 points, it cost us $100?

Yep. Unless there is a point event. For example, Sephora currently has 3x points on fragrance through Valentine's Day. So you will earn 300 points on a fragrance that cost $100. All other items will still be one point per dollar.

Totally eyeing that reward, I want to try that MJ lipstick too

Yep that's what always makes me think twice about the point items. I do want to try that MJ lipstick though...

I went to a sephora & makeup forever private screening of 50 Shades tonight and received the Desire Me Blush Trio as a free gift. I'm so thrilled because I was interested in it. I've read mixed reviews so fingers crossed it works for me!
