My list is certainly short lol

What are you eyeing AWS. There are so many pretty things floating around, and my collection is a bit heavy on the lipstick front. It may be just the one for me for now.My list is certainly short lol
Welll...I disagree with just about everything she says about the new formula.Poor Olga didn't stand a chance with her!!!
Interesting. Overwhelmingly negative comments. I actually think all 3 look really pretty on Christine. I could be wrong, but it doesn't look like she did much layering of her swatches (or on her lips) so I wonder to what extent some of those colors could have been built up more. I did get Cecile but haven't swatched it yet. I'm curious to see how it compares on me. At any rate, people seem pretty divided over these new lippies!http://www.temptalia.com/chanel-olga-cecile-suzanne-rouge-coco-lipsticks-reviews-photos-swatches
Thanks Meddy!Oh I like this one on you too! So pretty!!
I think the best opinion on these is your own and how the product works for you. I don't take too much of what T has to say to heart or as gospel.Welll...I disagree with just about everything she says about the new formula.Unlike what she says I have seen many comments about it being hydrating (and find it very hydrating myself) and while they may be sheer in a certain sense they are nothing like the Rouge Coco Shines. One swipe of Olga (which I happen to really like) is sheer but it can easily be built up and shows up really nicely on my pigmented lips. And while I, like Christine, have only tried a few of the 29.... if you go back look at elegant's swatches....do they generally look Rouge-Coco-Shine-sheer to you???? Pretty sure those middle ones are Vera (invisible on me) and maybe Louise, but other than those two???
Always, and this is why I find letter grades somewhat absurd, especially when some people do seem to take them as gospel.I think the best opinion on these is your own and how the product works for you. I don't take too much of what T has to say to heart or as gospel.
No---I have not yet worn Arthue---how pathetic is that!!!! I thought I would have worn it for Valentine's Day but then it didn't work out with the outfit that I ultimately chose. Thanks Meddy!Have you tried on Arthur yet? I hear you about lippie overload. I wasn't even interested in these and then suddenly...I had to try them! LOL.

They don't look bad on her at all.Interesting. Overwhelmingly negative comments. I actually think all 3 look really pretty on Christine. I think 2 things are certain: 1) if you have an attachment to the old RC formula/colors, you may not like these and 2) if you prefer opaque lippies, you also may not like these!
Of course whether a formula works for you is very individual. They are quite creamy but I found mine less slippy and more wearable than the last Rouge Allure I bought. And I do find them very comfy and hydrating so far.
For me, I like that they are semi-sheer but still buildable. The lighter colors will obviously only be buildable to a degree. Olga is probably one, and I would say the 2nd one I posted of Catherine is similarly pigmented but still a light shade so it's never going to be a punchy opaque peach. I prefer balm-like lippies for everyday wear because I find them comfortable to wear and easy to throw on. So for me, this line seems to be ideal (I say "seems" because I've only tried on 2 of them!). I can understand why they may not be everyone's cup of tea - just wanted to offer an alternate perspective!
Here's Catherine. Looks much peachier on me than in the swatches at the link above. It's a lovely soft color. A bit more slip in this formula than with Julia, and it is less forgiving on flakes, but it's not bad at all. I'm prone to having trouble with slippy lipsticks and it's still totally wearable for me. A pretty shade I think!
Thanks! I wanted Antoinette but I think I'll skip.http://retailtherapy.onsugar.com/NEW-Chanel-Rouge-Coco-Info-Swatches-36912114
Thanks - I adore Julia! I suspect the darker shades will give you plenty of opacity. Erik, Jeanne and Misia all look great!Just Erik and Jeanne or Misia, dear @Medgal07!
You always say that there are always new stuff coming out so I'm not pining lol
They don't look bad on her at all.
I do like the light feel of the RCs and as I prefer opacity I know I'll just stick to darker shades in this line.
BTW Julia looks great!
Oh I love it when I sell people on a shade LOL. Unfortunately I don't have Peregrina, sorry! I googled it and it is so hard to say looking at the swatches. They do look quite similar. I wonder if maybe Catherine is a little lighter and peachier and Peregrina is a touch darker and more beige? But of course I'm just going off of online swatches so hard to tell - but they do seem close at any rate!Sold! My namesake, and I'm glad it looks like I expected.
Do you happen to have Peregrina from the old Rouge Coco range? It looks a bit like it and I've been hunting a dupe for that forever.
Well I think that's a great way to make sure you use all of your products, although you're right that to only wear your favorites once out of the year seems just wrong! I know you mention you keep an inventory - I definitely need to start that. And just get more organized overall because I'm totally losing track of what I have! Maybe you need to put your lippies on 8-hour shifts so you can wear 2 a day (or 3 a day if you want to wear one to bed!).No---I have not yet worn Arthue---how pathetic is that!!!! I thought I would have worn it for Valentine's Day but then it didn't work out with the outfit that I ultimately chose.
Also, I'm participating in a lipstick challenge in which we wear a different lipstick everyday---for a year. With this challenge in mind I'm trying to be circumspect & down
right strategic in my lipstick choices. Like I want have something to look forward to come spring and summer. It literally pains me to think of wearing some of my favs only
one time this year.
Yep! I agree 100%. They are definitely NOT sheer like the shines at all.Welll...I disagree with just about everything she says about the new formula.Unlike what she says I have seen many comments about it being hydrating (and find it very hydrating myself, which makes it the second formula ever to be hydrating on me, the only other one being Chante Lip Chics) and while they may be sheer in a certain sense they are nothing like the Rouge Coco Shines. One swipe of Olga (which I happen to really like) is sheer but it can easily be built up and shows up really nicely on my pigmented lips. Great review and beautiful swatches. Both lippies look awesome on you. Thanks for taking the time to do this!!!Got to swatch the other 2 RCs I purchased - 412 Teheran and 432 Cecile. The formula on both was excellent. Creamy and comfortable and pigmented - no issues with too much slip or accentuating flakes for me. Turns out Teheran is fairly close to Tom Ford "Matthew" from Lips and Boys - Matthew is pinker by comparison and Teheran pulls a bit more orange/red. But on the lips I felt Teheran could definitely pull pinky coral in natural light or orange/red coral in warmer lighting. I didn't have the "old" Teheran but from the swatches on Temptalia it looks like the previous version had some shimmers in it that this one doesn't have (not noticeably, anyway). And obviously the finish is different on the new one as well. Cecile is absolute LOVE for me. I was expecting it to be darker for some reason but it doesn't matter because I love it. It's a soft pink rosewood - really lovely. HTH!
