MAC X Bao Bao Wan Collection (March 5, 2015)

Ok, here is my mani with Sunset Tourmaline, all three pics are different lighting:







As you may be able to tell, the formula is a little challenging. I think I may thin it before I use it again, or focus on using thinner coats. I had some patchiness and major bubbling. My ring finger came out pretty uneven. However, I LOVE the color. I don't think these pictures do it justice. Its base is kind of a marsala color, and there's a subtle pink flash that I couldn't capture in the pictures. It's got a lot of sparkle, which is mostly green. If you can get past the formula, it's a really pretty color.

Lipsticks-yes. A beauty powder that may actually work for WOC--don't think so. All the recent Beauty Powders released I've seen have been for fair complexions. I can't wait to get my hands on this BP!!

I still don't know what to get from this collection :/ I'm kinda interested in Romantic Breakdown, Forbidden Sunrise and the beauty powder but I need more swatches/reviews before I can make my decision.

In some lights, I can definitely see the plum. Depending on the lighting, it looks copper, plummy or mauve. It's a very complex color! I imagine it will lean certain ways based on the wearer's skin tone as well.

I can't believe that I'm going to say this but I may be skipping the lipsticks in this collection and getting the VPF shadows. If they don't swatch the way I'm hoping than this collection is a skip for me.

MIdnight Mambo is very pretty. I bought it when I missed out on Heroine the first time and I went crazy trying to find a dupe. of course now I have 4-5 Heroine lipsticks, maybe more. Lol. Funny thing is I never hardly wear Heroine any more. I think I will when the weather breaks.
