MAC X Bao Bao Wan Collection (March 5, 2015)

I am torn between items from the BBW and Cinderella collection. I want Summer Opal but I have Petticoat MSF. I'm also considering getting the BBJ Pearlfusion palette. I never tried the kind of eye shadows before. Are they worth trying out and/or getting?

I caved and bought them because it was so pretty. But I won't get it until tomorrow so I can't say if I like it. I got both powders from Cinderella and the BBW one (it's the one make-up item that I don't own). I like Coupe d' Chic from Cinderella best just by looking at it. I haven't swatched them yet (too busy being nurse to my kitty). When I get the BBW powder I can swatch them for you but I'm a super pale skin tone so I don't know how helpful that will be.

My goodies arrived!!!!!!

I can't remember when I was this excited to tear open a box! lol

So I immediately compared Ablaze and BK. It is clear that they are similar and that Ablaze is the inspiration, but I am very happy to say that BK has more pink! MORE PINK @elegant-one and @MissTania! It is definitely still a bright / neon coral, but the subtle pink is definitely there! I actually LOVE it! It's bright and fun---will be great to wear this summer!

I don't think that a swatch comparison really shows the nuances in color difference. Perhaps I will try again later in different light.

Summer Opal is absolute smooth shimmery perfection! Absolute NO glitter. Just subtle shimmer. Beautiful

Update: Am trying to get some good shots on my new phone and the camera is crap! It is clear though that Ablaze has more of an orange undertone while BK has more of a pink undertone.

Thank goodness for MORE PINK!!!! I ordered back ups, and will give one as a gift to my friend.

I wonder what it looks like against LVER.

It looks so different in the pics and swatches here so far, so it's reassuring to hear it's different to Ablaze.

So did mine. I LOVE some of the pictures. I'm glad that Lavender Jade doesn't look ashy on warm skin tones. I have to worry about these things...

My Cinderella Coupe d' Chic is simply divine... someone was saying it was glitterball? It's not. And for the brush question with that and Bao Bao Iridescent...really soft brush. I use a Suqqu cheek brush and pat it on the high points. Because it's so finely milled, I pat in the pot, and pat on the skin. It looks amazing, even on bare skin.

Ok someone on Instagram who works at a mac store just said that her store is no longer getting this collection and now it's MAC PRO ONLY???!!! can someone confirm or deny this bc Imma have to change my plans for Thursday morning!!!!! Thanks!

In the UK, BBW is in pro stores and select high end department stores so it may be similar where you are. Perhaps you can confirm with live chat.

I wish MAC employees were more knowledgeable. Chat people know nothing. Store people keep telling me "that collection is online only." Uhmmmm, can they please get their info together? What is so hard about that? One STORE, not a counter, never even HEARD of the collection!!! She had NO idea what I was talking about. Just wow

That's what happened with me when the Osbourne collection came out... no one knew anything about what stores were carrying it or when it was being released in stores. I kept getting the run around from not only MAC, but Nordies as well. So i feel your pain!

You would think they would have it together after the numerous LE collections they launch throughout the year!
