ah well these were 'fashion' contacts from china so its no surprise really that i found them irritable!
still, i dont envy you having to put them in and take them out - thats hard enough!
Oh that's understandable then

I don't have to wear them anymore - I had a surgery 2 1/2 years ago but I remember in the first couple of months it was taking me 30-40 minutes to put them on

Lol, It used to take me foooorever to put in contacts! I'm not a candidate for lasic though, my eyes are still changing every year. It now takes me maybe under a minute to get both contacts in. Really no hassle at all!

Once you get used to it, it's really easy! Fortunately, my eyes stopped changing for a while - I had -4.25 on both eyes, I couldn't even walk around the house without glasses/contacts.

I'm starting to really love Tom Ford as a brand more and more. Nude Dip was such a hit, I'm glad he was smart and brought it back to the Perm line. Same with the lippies. I'm hoping First Time sticks around for at least 1 month. I really want to snag it, but my wallet is so empty I might need to eat ramen for the next week. lol
I agree, Lauren! I'm still new to Tom Ford, but I like that he brings back popular items- it will be good for his sales, and make customers happy! Win-win!

I don't think I'm a candidate either (bummer). It takes me about a minute to get mine in too. I don't wear them daily though as the A/C in my office makes my eyes dry.

That's why I put them in, and leave them there. But color lenses which are scripts, are for daily use, not for extended wear. I can see up close, it is 15 feet away I can't see anything. Being near sighted does have its perks. Most people who are can delay having to wear glasses for the close up woosies until their are in their 70's, if even then. It is the far away fuzzies that suck.

Obviously I must have two left hands or partied too much the night before. Since it takes me forever to get those suckers in.

I might be late to the party but has anyone noticed that Black Orchid is back up (back ordered though) on the NM site?
Not Black Orchid (the HG of vamp lipsticks) is not on NM or any other site. Black Dahlia is back up and can be purchased in stores right. If Black Orchid was ever released again, it would crash many a website!!!!

I just ordered TF Cherry Lush, Pink Tease & the brow sculptor in Espresso. She gave me 10% off (I had a code) and a free mini TF lippie in Casablanca

I wasn't a candidate for Lasik either but I did get custom PRK and would totally recommend it to anyone..I have dry eyes too and had to be on restasis for a few months before surgery....it is so nice to not have to put in contacts anymore!

Nice! I will do some research into that.

I agree, the new Dior Revival palette for my skin tone is much better then Nude Dip. As well as the lipsticks. Twist of Fate on me is ugly orange, and Negligee is a yuck browny leaning toward orange. The same thing with duo for cheeks. Soft Core was the best of the two, and I used it maybe once. The other one was really orange on me.
Yes. Same here with twist of fate and negligee, they both looked terrible on me when I tried them on. I passed on both as well as the cheek duos, which also were a bit too heavy looking on my complexion.

This is coming from a place of experience, and I pray that you (and others) learn from my mistakes. It's not meant to be preachy.

That said, please please please don't overuse daily disposables! They are not meant for extended use. Ideally, you're wearing them no more than 12ish hours per day. Let me explain what will happen if you ignore this for an extended basis. Your eyes are going to become oxygen-deprived, and you're going to have issues with inflamed blood vessels. If you're lucky, your eye dr will find this prior to your vision being compromised. In any case, you're going to be wearing glasses for an extended time, if not forever. Daily disposables aren't as permeable, since there is an expectation that your eye will have time to breathe without them in. Contacts that are specially marketed for overnight use are made differently so that the eye can get the necessary oxygen.

I wore daily disposables on a daily basis, throwing them each night and never sleeping in them but for up to 20 hours at a time for about 14 years. That's what happened to me. I can't ever wear contacts again. Luckily, I can rock the heck out of glasses. I know three other people who have had similar issues.

Circling back around, the hardest thing for me was to learn to do makeup all over again by feel, not sight. I'm not a LASIK candidate, and I was a -8.5 when I wore contacts. So I can't see diddly. I wore nothing but cream eyeshadow sticks for a good 8 months until I got brave enough to play with powder shadows again!

Great minds think alike! I just picked up Pink Tease today too. I was looking for a pinky nude that was lighter than Indian Rose, but Pink Dusk looked awful on my uber-pigmented lips. I never thought I'd go for a matte!
