I got to swatch the new "crescent moon" (my name for them) bronzer/ blush combos. I'm not a bronzer girl, but I really liked the Light Blondes shade on me. The others seemed too deep and/ or too warm, but I might have to give in to that lightest shade.

Go ahead and indulge---this is more of a beauty powder, not a bronzer.

Does it have any shimmer? I initially wasn't interested in these as I thought all of them were shimmery, but it seems like some shades are more shimmery than others? I think Light Blonde would be the one I'd go for, but I'd only be interested if it had a matte to satiny finish.

It's definitely matte/satin. I don't do sparkle. Meddy is right that it's more of a finishing/beauty powder, at least I use it that way. Clair Blondes is darker than my skin, so I do need to use a light hand. I applied it yesterday over BB cream using my MAC 167 face blender brush. I really love that brush; I use it for bronzer as well. It's one of the brushes I definitely wish I'd bought two of when I had the chance.

It's definitely matte/satin. I don't do sparkle. Meddy is right that it's more of a finishing/beauty powder, at least I use it that way. Clair Blondes is darker than my skin, so I do need to use a light hand. I applied it yesterday over BB cream using my MAC 167 face blender brush. I really love that brush; I use it for bronzer as well. It's one of the brushes I definitely wish I'd bought two of when I had the chance.

Is it fragranced? (being Guerlain I'm assuming it is, I'm just wondering how strong and what kind of scent - like Meteorites?)

Monsy is right; the scent is strong but it smells just like the regular bronzers. Thankfully the fragrance seems to get less strong over time. I just compared the Joli Teint to the Terracotta bronzers I bought last summer. The bronzers aren't nearly as bad.

I don't particularly care for any of the Guerlain makeup scents, but at least they don't seem to aggravate my allergies. A lot of scents do.

I really like the product too. When I was redeeming Shoppers points yesterday for free loot I came close to buying Natural Blondes to wear in the summer. I was afraid it would be too dark for a face powder on me even then so I skipped it. I reserve the right to change my mind at a later date though.

They also had the new LE Natural Blondes and Natural Brunettes Terracotta bronzers in stock. I found them both much darker than my usual bronzer shades (00 and 4-Seasons Natural Blondes) so I wasn't tempted.

I absolutely love the two Crazy Paris pieces I got (Meteorites and Healthy Glow Powder). I already can't want to see what they'll come out with for Holiday 2015.

I think I didn't get anything from Crazy Paris but I love the Liu palette from the previous holiday collection.

I am relatively intrigued by the new fragrance collection that Guerlain has launched at Nordstrom. They're relatively simple, and meant to/able to be layered. And at $65, they're within reach. I'll have to play once allergy season has passed and I can actually smell again.

I had an interesting conversation a few days ago about where the brand is going. Look for a major shift- actual advertising, trying to have a little more mass appeal, etc. It's my impression that they're going to play to their strengths and try to capture more of the market. Look at the price point of the recent releases- they're all in that $50-$65 sweet spot for the most point.

are you talking about the Aqua Allegoria fagrance? those are ''summer'' fragrance and are on the market to compete against the commercial fragrance like Stella Sheer, Burberry Brit Sheer etc aimed at a younger market too. I personally like their Art de la matière and les elixir charnels perfume but boy are they expensive!!! in their commercial line I have Shalimar and the only other perfume in that line I might think adding is la petite robe noire but I will spend 280$ on Tonka Imperiale or Gourmand coquin before 120$ on la petite robe noire! they are really different!

Yes! The name slipped my mind. Their fragrances are not for me in general, I don't like any from the commercial line except from La petite robe noire, which I own. However, I think it's made to suit a much wider variety of people and it's nothing like their other perfumes. Gourmand coquin sounds like something that I would love but the price

I just got a sample of Gourmand Coquin, the main notes are chocolat and rhum and some spice that intertwine.... LOVELY! i'm just questioning myself if i can get sick of it after a while.
But I love that the chocolat stay really the main note for a while (at least 2hrs) and then the rhum take over with the spice. And it last forever which is good because at that price you do not want your perfume to be a skin scent after 4-5 hours! Tonka Imperiale is also a gourmand but more powdery and vanilla, I think it is more classic then Gourmand coquin and more for every occasion (more feminine then Gourmand who is more unisexe) But I cannot buy both that for sure!

I checked the notes and it sounds divine! I wouldn't like TI though. Can you compare it to any of the angels? Maybe the liqueur one? I'll try to find a sample, although I can't afford it - especially since it's 380$ here!

It really does give a very nice flawless finish. I've been using it daily, neglecting my other finishing powders.
