All Things Sephora

Soooooooo...

I had to go to the mall to return a broken Paint Pot to MAC. I tried my hardest to stay away from Sephora. I didn't want to buy anything because a sale is coming up. Yet the magnetic pull forced me in there and forced the new Cover FX Custom Cover Drops into my hands. I was stuck deciding between two shades. I'm going to play around with this shade for a few days and see if I should go back and get the lighter one.

Ladies, I LOVE THESE!
I went hog wild playing with them at home. I tried mixing just two drops with my moisturizer and it was beaauuutiful. it blended seamlessly and gave me just the "right" amount of coverage. I also tried it with different primers that I have. I am seriously so excited over this product. Right now I'm just wearing it around to make sure it doesn't oxidize before trying it out for a whole day. The sun is setting so it's hard to tell if it's an exact match. I went with P20, the lightest "pink" undertone shade they had. I usually go for neutral undertones, because I feel like pink undertones just bring out the redness in my face I'm trying to hide. However, their Neutral shades were too yellow. Even more yellow that NARS Siberia!

Here is a super quick picture, taken in front of an open window. It's slightly overcast and the sun is going down. Don't mind the messy hair and melted eye-look. That's from this morning. I only took off my foundation to try the cover drops! Not to mention it was like 89 F here today! Phew!

Thanks for mentioning this! I was going to go for the lightest neutral shade too, but if it pulls overly yellow I'll try the pink undertone instead as well.

No problem! I'm going to test it out for full day wear tomorrow! I have class from 8-3pm and usually wash my makeup off after dinner. Hope it wears well! I intend on setting it with a powder though. It's going to be hot and humid! Anyway!! I think when I go in for the Beauty Before Brunch event on Sunday I'm going to ask for a sample of the N10. Their lightest neutral shade. I really want to see how it would look, full faced and blended in with my primer or moisturizer. That's just because I'm curious! :)

Yes I went into JCP Sephora today on a whim because I wanted to get a few samples(this and the BECCA color corrector concealer, which they did have thankfully) but they had not gotten them in yet, they said they were putting them out next week, I may see if they have them yet at the full Sephora by me tomorrow. If they do maybe I can get a sample of both just to see. It looks great on you though!

Thanks so much! You're very sweet. :) I found them at my full sephora. I have both in my mall. Let me know how you like them when you get to try! I'd definitely get a sample to get the full effect when you mix with other beauty products! It was a big difference from swatching just the pigmented drops to trying it mixed.

Yeah I tried one of their foundations awhile ago and I was not a fan. Looked like a mask and got all up in my laugh lines.
Oh no

I was curious about the new one---not that I need to go down a foundation rabbit hole---I enjoy what I currently wear but I'm close to running out & thought, oh
what the hell---try something new.

Yeah I'm just sticking to what works for right now because bad foundation adventures are not fun. For the sale I'm getting mufe liquid lift and another pro finish powder.

So two drops gave you really good coverage? That's not bad. I'm guessing you can probably vary it depending on how much coverage you end up wanting also. did you find it better with moisturizer or primer? What kind of moisturizer do you use btw, and primer? Sorry for all the questions! Haha

I'm wearing a sample of the Armani Silk today and like it so far. We'll see what it looks like when I go in to wash it
off soon.

I tried a few times, I tried 2 and 3 drops. I would say 2 gave me medium coverage. 3 was getting very near full coverage (for me!). You can definitely vary it! I tried it with a few things! I played around a lot today, haha!

-Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel AKA my favorite moisturizer for oily/combo skin.

-Tom Ford Illuminating Primer

-Dior Pore Minimizer Skin Refining Matte Primer

All three seemed to yield great results! :) Hope this helps!

Hi all, I'm new/a lurker and am randomly emerging to complain that one of my Sephora birthday gift Nars lip pencils broke today. I had only used it once before and it was never in heat or treated roughly or anything. It just gently sat there. And then it died. I feel like only you guys can understand my pain ;) Also excited about chic week, haaaaay.
:welcome2: :hello2:

I applied with my Real Techniques Stippling Brush! :) I never liked applying foundations with my fingers. I guess I should have tried that since it's got the consistency of a tinted moisturizer when mixed. I didn't find it to apply streaky at all!
Ok thanks

So, I've been wearing Lancome L'Extreme as a lazy day mascara for a while (my go-to is Hypnose Drama). But that's apparently discontinued. But my heart says it's time to move on.

I'm thinking of trying Roller Lash as an alternative. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Just looking for something maybe lengthening, I guess?
Roller Lash is amazing and lengthening is it's forte!!!
