I am DREADING the day this happens! I tossed pretty much my whole makeup collection while I was pregnant with my daughter and between moves, and I never really wore makeup for the first year or so since she was born so everything I have is relatively new. I'm always praying she doesn't get into my makeup. I think I need to leave some decoys out for her. She LOVES makeup too, to the point that every time I'm scrolling through my Instagram feed, she will sit next to me and give commentary on people's lipstick. "too frumpy" "too funky" "too booky" she makes up her own words to describe them too, and she gets mad if I scroll past a picture without letting her critique it. :haha: LOL! I hate when the SA has jacked up makeup! It's like, how do you work here and NONE of your colleagues have said anything to you? Have you looked in the mirror? I laughed out loud when I saw what you said about hubby saying you take too long! I usually leave the bathroom door open while I get ready so my daughter can run in and out, but I'll always see her dad just walk into the doorway, observe for a couple seconds, and then walk out. IT MAKES ME SO SELF CONSCIOUS!!! LOL like he's trying to tell me to hurry up without actually saying anything. I made the mistake of telling him back before Christmas that I had "pretty much everything I wanted" and he tried to use that against me the other day like "I thought you said you had everything!" I was like *north west face* "THAT WAS SIX MONTHS AGO!"
I think I might go with the original DW and then the Estee BB cream! Then I should get the best of both worlds. I need to 100% get back on my makeup game. I've been slacking since I became a mom. I feel like a Kim K stuck in Mimi Bobeck's vanity. :haha: Hugs!! What a rough day. I've been losing patience with my two year old lately, too. 37 weeks preggo and all she wants to do is jump on my belly. Last night she hurled a maracca at my head. Luckily it missed and hit the wall behind me but BOY my wrath was awoken lol. All because I wanted to put her PJs on.
Lmao do we have the same life!? Your daughter sounds like mine, and the interrogation bit is totally something I have to go through with her dad! He is so bad at full disclosure! Even for little things like forgetting something at the grocery store. It never comes out until I've already started cooking and need to use that item. "Oh I forgot" "they didn't have it" "there's a shortage I looked everywhere!" It would be comical if it weren't happening to me lol. Also, yes, Peppa Pig. I love that show.
My daughter is certainly showing interest in my makeup. I'll have a cow if she messes with my ish. My husband almost knocked my train case with my highlighters to the ground last night (I was playing around and went to the kitchen to do something quick), I damned near almost shat my pants. Then I realized he only tripped on my laptop cord, much better
OMG your daughter is so cute with the commentary! lol! I think those sa's are crabs in a barrel, they like when a colleague looks jacked up. Seems so cut-throat. I know the fashion industry is here, that's why I didn't fully pursue being a stylist, plus I got pregnant and that whole thing happened
I dress models for MB Fashion Week and backstage is a trip with the mua's, stylists and hair stylists. 'Tude overload. Yeah for real, what's his deal? Today and tomorrow are two different things when it comes to makeup
OMG I love North West, she's so cute, but I feel sorry for her. I mean I love black on kids, but come on, put some color on the child and stop bringing her to fashion shows. Anna Wintour is going to have a cow soon, lmaooo! Yeah, my patience runs thin but I'm trying. I can't handle the dispute from a 2yr old all the time. It's exhausting. I'm making a comeback with the makeup in the real way. It takes me the most time to do my brows, lmao! I remember when I had nice thick brows and I didn't have to do anything
The Estee guy says he doesn't believe in bb creams, lolll. He said they claim to do all these things and sometimes they don't even do one properly. He likes separate products. He seemed pretty knowledgeable based on our convo. I notice men take more time to talk with you than the women at these counters. I just got some Covergirl Queen CC creams that are great. They're new. Apparently very same formula as their Ready Set Gorgeous line. I used it as a base under my EL foundation today and here comes the sticky again. It worked fine with my Avon face perfector yesterday so I'm thinking a matte base is best. Which sucks because I ordered the EL Illuminating primer during Nordies price-match sale and not the matte one. Crap.
They're only careful with the stuff that THEY care about, until they get really mad, then it all gets ripped and thrown. I was watching Peppa Pig too. Haha. They drive me nuts though. I call them the JoAnns because I used to work with a lady named JoAnn who would walk around the office constantly snorting snot down her throat. Of course I called her Peppa and only the moms of toddlers got the joke. Haha.
They are. They think money grows on trees. I love Daddy Pig! He's always an "expert" at something then messes up, hahahaha, then they fall out laughing. I love it.
I get things launched at me sometimes too. Today it was a bottle of nail polish because I wouldn't open it for her. She's lucky it didn't shatter on the ceramic tile! If it's after 7:30pm and she's acting like that I will manhandle a nightgown on her and put her to bed.
Manhandle is the right word. She used to kick my in the stomach when I was changing her diaper if she was pissed.
I liked the white, but I loved the black. I opened it as soon as I got in the car so I could spray it. Haha
Couldn't even find the stupid sample to see which one it was I used. I found a new Gucci Premiere one though, just finished one. Love that stuff.
Can't go wrong with that. I would definitely pay $15 to get to choose the samples that I actually want (just checked it out on their site).
Yeah, sounds good. I'll go one of these days. Soho is closer to home than work so going on my lunch won't be ideal.
I remember a really nice review of that store on Rocaille Writes if you want to look into it. Made me want to visit it someday!
Never been on Rocaille Writes, I'll look into it. I don't really follow many blogs. I usually encounter one when I'm looking into a product. But there isn't one I follow religiously.
My mom keeps warning me to be careful what I ask for lol.. girls are challenging, but our awesomeness makes up for the challenge! My son is 7 and is already SO protective over me, he gets it from his dad. I'm enjoying him at this age, and I look forward to our relationship growing and maturing the way you spoke about you and your son! God Willing
Yes, be careful what you ask for indeed, lol. My son is 7 too! He's also protective and a Mommy's boy. Always, "So Mom, what movie do you want to watch"? We have our evening sitcoms we watch together too. This morning he came into my room all timid, "Hi Mommy" (I was still pissed, hehehe). He's a good kid though. He loooooves his little sister, he doesn't play. Sometimes he tries to tell me, "I'm not sure I'm comfortable with her doing that Mom", lmaooo. I'm like, get outta here, you're not her Dad! :bump:
