I live the same distance from a Nordie's as I do NM. Different directions, one is south of me, NM direct east. I avoid Woodfield especially now since they are tearing it apart. Nordic's is about the "now sale" not about a "future sales".

We each have our own experiences, all equally valid.

I prefer Nordstrom CS and the overall feel of my local store, but I'm also well-known in the store and they know better than to test items on me unless I ask. I deal with NM when I have to for certain brands.

No one is the same. That is what makes us all unique. It is not only the store but the people who work there that make your shopping experiences super or yucky. As I have previously stated, regardless of where you shop establish relationships with the product specialists, department managers as well as the store VP. Whether your quest is shoes, makeup, whatever this is how to find out what is coming, what is best to avoid (for you personally) as in the color won't work on you. If you shop online, know how the product will be shipped. For some the US mail is best, due to their location, for others FedEx, others UPS. Where I live, it is not a well travelled area. Hence packages left by the door will not be taken by others. Yet for those who live in more urban areas, that would be a disaster. Or in a college dorm. I remember well how my parent's would send me something and it went missing.

I saw the collection today, but didn't take much time to play. I picked up Precious Beige to start- it's a shimmer, something I wasn't expecting! The store didn't have Beige Rose, the polish I wanted most.

I plan on playing with the striped powders this weekend. I already know I'm out on cream blushes and gloss.
