This week is THE week ladies. Yay!!!!The Matte Lip Collection will launch. I can't wait to get Men Love Mystery (2), Whirl, and Persistence. I hope this will not be like 99% of Mac's aother collections. Meaning there is only enough stock to last 1-2 hours. I may get Antique Velvet if it doesn't pull brown on me. I looks pretty on Christine.

I might also got antique velvet too. :sigh: MLM and whirl are definitely will be the first to sell out. It's going to be another me hunger games again. Whew!

I pre-ordered mine and the Bay and they literally had a drawer full. Let me know if you have trouble getting any. And don't forget the Bay's on line site.

Oh interesting. It was a sales associate at the bay who told me this. Do you know if the Canadian release date is June 11th?

She told me I could pick up on the 18th but from other posters here I think it may have changed.

I don't even go on Ts reviews anymore, she might as well be swatching a totally different collection. Is the in store release seriously two weeks after the online release? I wanted to wait and check them out in store, but I don't think I can wait that long. I was rocking my Ruby Woo at the zoo today. Haha. My nieces love my style.

I kind of have that issue with Flamingo. It's a pinky coral-y orange, and i don't look good in orange (as i've said too many times). But if i put it on then smooth it with my finger the color looks good on me, since i'm ok with peachy pinks, or pinky corals.

And same here, too. Many MAC lipsticks turn on me, especially the neutrals (many pinks get a lot brighter instead). But KvD Lovecraft does not turn and looks really nice, same as NYX Butter.

I was surprised to have a similar problem with MAC lipsticks - especially the Sheen Supremes. Blossom Culture is supposedly "soft pink" but turns pinky coral on me, which is OK, but Asian Flower, supposedly "creamy lavender", turns bright fuchsia on me and i don't wear it - i really should B2M it.

Even one eyeshadow - i got a bunch of the Electric Cool shadows in the Novel Romance collection. I was painfully crushed when Highly Charged, which went on as an absolutely gorgeous "rich purple with pink pearl", after an hour or two turned an icky burgundy on me - i have some burgundy shadows that are fine - they make a strong statement, but this just made me look sick. I hated to return it, because it was so beautiful when i first put it on, but i looked zombie-ish after it changed, and not in an amusing way.

It seems that D for Danger may be a dupe for Heaux :

D for Danger on left, Heaux on right Almost like a less matte version of Heaux... Heaux being retro matte in T's pic... Although it is untrustworthy lighting

You should check out Karen's swatch, I could swear it looked like a matte version of Cardinal from PT lol

Yeah true it does look like Cardinal.. with a slight berry tone to it~~ :sigh:

I called Mac 1800 number and asked if I can pre order any of the lipsticks by phone and she told me I can't do that

. Is it only the Bay that lets people pre order? I'm In Canada btw

Also, if D for Danger is a dupe for Heaux then everyone should run and get it. Heaux and Riri boy are hands down my favorite Mac lipsticks ever

I can't wait to see how AV looks on you. I plan on getting it when I pick up my mattes. Antique Velvet Matte Royal D For Danger Studded Kiss My list keeps growing. lmao I wanted Studded Kiss for a while too.  I think this is the first MAC launch that isn't making me feel antsy that I'm interested in because I know everything will be perm. I hope you love your lippies Vandie. I can't wait to see your swatches!

Do you think AV will pull brown at all? BTW- I thought MLM is not perm though. Is that not correct?

Same here regarding honey love, and RH. I'm one of the few people who don't like Kinda Sexy, it looks weird orange-brown on my lips. It seems like my lip color makes anything warm look orangey. I'm loving all of the Browns, though. AV is to die for! I have to get the blue, too, even tho I don't know where I'll wear it. Whirl and Stone are up there on my list, too.

It's nice to know there are others out there! I've seen so many posts about people loving Kinda Sexy, Toledo's Oxblood, Julia Petit's Boca... It's good to know there are others who wouldn't dream of buying them. I love oranges, I have a bunch of bright oranges. But the brownish-orange shade isn't a good look for me.
