Got mine yesterday, i was actually really surprised to see how close Persistence and Whirl look irl. you can see the slight undertone difference between the two. P is warmer more brown and whirl has a bit of mauve brown. But on the lips with no lip liner they are literally identical, I couldn't keep both so i am returning P. :/ i did love whirl but i wish it had more mauve in it, il try it with a different liner when i wear it. Surprisingly when i tested it on, hub liked it and he never likes dark lips lol. and MLM is really pretty, not as light as i was expecting but very pretty still. I might pick up D for danger in the fall. though if i have rebel and fashion revival, not sure that i need it?!

So, counters aren't getting it tomorrow, only stores? Sorry, this thread moves way too fast for me to keep up sometimes. I was really hoping to pick up a few shades tomorrow. But alas we only have a counter in my Dillards. Sigh. I was only going to get DfD but tropic tonic, MLM, and Runway Hit are all on my list. I am in "treat yourself" mind because this week I had my very first client!! After years of studying psychology.. To finally get in a room and HELP people was such an overwhelming positive experience for me, after being so anxious about it for months. So of course my first instinct to celebrate is to go out and get new lipsticks.

This release is pretty confusing. I just called my counter at the Bay (Canada) where I pre-ordered and they still have the release as June 18th. I don't want to wait that long.

Thank you!! Aw, what did you want to do within Psychology at that time? I'm currently working towards getting my M.S and Ed.S in Mental Health Counseling! My internship is at a site that gives free or low cost services to youth and adolescents with substance use disorders and other related mental health problems. It can be really challenging at times, but can also be really rewarding!

You go girl!!!!! I love ALL of these beautiful shades on you. WNW Raisin looks like a shade I should have in my collection. Divine is beautiful too.
I am not a fan of Matte Royal on everyone but you can certainly pull it off. It looks pretty on you.
Thanks ladies! I may end up with this whole collection, thank goodness it's perm and I can spread out the purchases. One each pay!

They are beautiful Vandy and seriously, both still don't equal to the cost of one MAC lipstick! Ha!

Child Psychology, I did my minor in Education. I seriously was tired of school by the end of that. My parents pushed me to finish school, no breaks, when I think I may have benefited from a break to pace myself. My sis did better than me though, she had a baby at 16 and didn't stop, she finished high school, college, university and now has a Bachelor of Science (Double Major Biochem & Theology and a Minor in Scientific Research (did them all at once)). In between she had another baby and she's a single mom. Oh, and she's cute and does makeup on others because of me. Oops, sorry, I kind of went off topic.

Oh I can imagine how challenging that is! I have friends who have worked in environments like those. You sometimes feel helpless, like you're not getting through, or just plain scared because some of the people are violent. Good for you though, the world needs people like you

Thank you!! I appreciate it.

That is so exciting for your daughter!! Highly encourage her to get involved in research and other activities that are psych related if she has time in school. They really help build a resume, especially for graduate school, (if that is her goal of course) because it can get pretty competitive. It also can help her discover what kinds of populations she wants to work with! It's something I wish I did more of in undergraduate studies!!
Thank you!!! I will! Have you gotten any yet? My list is so long, I don't know where to start!
Thanks! I will definitely pass on your advice to her. She wants to work with abused women and children. She's very passionate about it and has been all through high school.

Good luck!!!

Ok my updated list of shades to check out Stone Whirl (and Mehr hopefully) Tropic Tonic D for Danger Instigator Just for reference I already have Velvet Teddy Russian Red Diva Flat out Fab All Fired Up Relentlessly Red So Chaud Heroine Viva Glam I La Vie En Rouge* Damn Glamorous* Pink Pigeon (super bright, debating if I should B2M) Please Me - Haaaate it. I feel like if I absolutely must tweak a shade with liner/gloss or its unwearable, probably not worth keeping because there's usually something better. I can make it work with the extra effort though, soar or Nyx Mauve pencil is good, Flusterose gloss on top is really pretty too. I have more ls shades, but I feel like I'm phasing them out slowly in favor of the matte finishes, I just love 'em!

My minor was Child Psychology, I loved it!! I can *totally* empathize with you about getting tired of school. Truly. I did my Bachelor's in 3 years and went right from that into my dual master's program. I didn't take any time off. Sometimes, I regret it, because I can totally feel the class fatigue. It's very very demanding! Even in undergrad! It's no piece of cake for sure. I think taking breaks and self-care are so crucial for everyone's mental health and doing well in school. And also, everyone does things differently. That is completely amazing what your sister has accomplished and I commend her! But I also commend you because even though she did all of that awesome stuff-- it doesn't take away from the successes you have! Plus You totally rock all the makeup looks you do and inspire me to try new looks and products! :)  It can definitely feel scary! Yes! I look like I'm 16 sometimes, and I'm rather short. So sometimes, with more difficult adolescent clients, it's hard for them to see you as the counselor role. Heck! Sometimes I can't take myself seriously. :haha:  But it's just sooo rewarding when you do get that breakthrough with clients. But in this type of situation it doesn't always happen and you get a lot of repeat clients and it can be discouraging. But right now there is nowhere else I'd rather be dedicating my time to. It can be eye-opening what younger people go through sometimes that I would have never dreamed of going through as a child/adolescent. Sometimes these kids are so insightful into their own lives it gives me chills! LOL oops can you tell I'm super passionate about this?  Thank you!! I appreciate it.
