MR, Gunner, MLM, DG, LJ, Riri Boy, DfD, Heaux Matte Royal is a disappointment. The colour is exactly what I hoped for but it's so patchy and it's not particularly pigmented for a so-called matte (my swatches are of 3 heavy swipes). The formula reminds me of Punk Couture, but even worse. I so wish they'd made it in the retro matte formula. Whirl is very brown on me (NW5-10), there's only a tiny hint of a rosy undertone, but that's enough to make it wearable. MLM is perfect, it's not a dupe for DG or LJ at all, but it's really close to Riri Boy. Maybe just a touch brighter and lighter, which I think is mostly down to the difference in finish. Stone is again, very brown on me, but enough gray comes through. Runway Hit is a very pretty peach, it's not a nude at all on me. Finally DfD isn't exactly a dupe for Heaux, but of all my MAC red's it comes the closest.
Thanks for swatching MLM, LJ, RiRi Boy and DG next to each other. MLM and RiRi Boy are very close. Unlike you, I do find DFD and Heaux to be almost identical.

No prob! :heart2: .   It looks really chocolate brown on my hand. I haven't tried it on my lips yet.  I decided to skip Matte Royal because I have Gunner and I hate it on me lol.  I also have Vegas Volt, but found Tropic Tonic to be more vibrant. Here ya go...
Thank you!! You're the best!!

I can't seem to make Steady Going work for me. Any tips before I hand it over to my daughter?

Thanks for your help.

same here. I got mine in 2013 and I gave it b2m some time ago. Mixing it with some creamier, more neutral pink like Peach Blossom was okay, but I've hoarded so many lipsticks, so why keep something I don't really like on me.

Persistence no liner reminds me of oxblood and the other colors that look like that lol

Pretty! Isn't it nice to actually have a few nudies that u don't HAVE TO wear a liner with??? I bought Mahogany to go with peachy nudes like Creme D Nude, Persistence and Myth

I use a mauvey pink lip liner with it and it's lovely- it's a discontinued Lancome liner though which I have hoarded, however Mac Edge to Edge appears to be very similar. I don't fill in the whole lip but that might be worth doing to give it some depth. Last time I wore it I really liked it, it was like a soft powdery pastel pink. I have to use a lip balm under though it's too drying!

Hope it works out for you, or that your daughter can make use of it!

Oh yea agreed! Half Red would be another nice option for a soft color transition with Steady Going

Thanks for the great swatches! I am expecting my haul next week, which includes MLM and DfD. MLM looks gorgeous, thank goodness it's perm!

My main focus is matte royal. But these Browns and taupes are beautiful and seem to have potential. I'll have to go try these in store.
