Some information for the Germans here regarding Fraicheur. I'm not someone who gives up easily, so I wrote an email to Douglas and asked about availability, if I can order it at least via that email and why it's LE here. They answered that they can't process my email order - reason: because they don't sell it in their online shops. Hmmm. Other shops manage just fine to sell products ordered by email. But maybe they have restrictions imposed on them there as well.
The np is still available in the following shops:
Maternusplatz 5
50996 Köln
Zeil 98-102
60313 Frankfurt
Karmarschstr. 26
30159 Hannover
Very few items left, so if you live nearby and want it, you better hurry up.
And the answer to my question why it's not available everywhere, online and unlimited: because Chanel provided it as a "limited summer edition" and they can't say anything more about it.
So, I guess it was Chanel's idea to artificially limit Fraicheur here in Germany. I don't think Douglas had anything to do with it. It still makes no sense at all to me. I could understand it, if it was LE in the US as well and they just had a limited amount to sell, but since it seems to be permanent there, why let us jump through hoops to get it?
Well, the subject is closed for me. I'm not wearing np that often anyway. But next time I'm going to buy cosmetics or skincare, I'll definitely remember why I didn't get Fraicheur. And that'll certainly influence future decisions.
