Yup, and I notice more and more retailers are doing it. I was on Footaction the other day during a sale and was put in the waiting room. I had flashbacks/nightmares of RiRi! I was cold-sweating!

I agree, they better not Maleficent this. I want a good selection of lipsticks! And other products too. I think the Marilyn product breakdown would be a great fit for this one! 5 lipsticks, 2 blushes, etc I also feel like a bigger collection would help here bc this is going to be an insane "you better a day off from work and maybe a recovery day too" launch, if there's more product choices the craze might get dispersed a little. In my opinion one of the issues w Giambattista was that it was only lipsticks so everyone was going for the exact same things. I know certain items will always be popular but maybe like if there's more someone will just want a blush, etc

Has MAC ever announced a collection so far ahead of time? I suppose it could come out in January 2016 (right now all we know is a year for the launch, right?) so it wouldn't be more than half a year away but I guess I just haven't ever caught a collection announcement so soon/with the products coming out so far in the future

Actually, Selena's sister (Suzette) & the Selena official page has stated, the collection will be due out the second half of 2016.

I'm going to buy everything in this collection! I'm a huge fan of her music. I wish I was alive to see her perform alive but I was only 3 when she died I would like to see a matte deep red lipstick, shimmery purple eyeshadow to match the famous body suit. I don't know what else to expect but I'm excited

Off topic, but they should do an Aaliyah inspired collection next year as well. Her videos were aesthetically pleasing and her makeup was always on point. I would buy everything in that collection too LOL

My hope is that we get limited edition packaging as well unlike the BS Mac pulled with the first Rihanna Summer collection. We want more than just a signature, although I'll admit that I'm happy they're making if out to be a collection of several products and not just a red lippie...I didn't see that coming.

There's a petition going on right now, MAC and Estee Lauder already took notice, and her brother is supporting it as well. I hope a lot more people will sign it. Every signature counts!
