I've never had a creamsheen, so I can't compare to that, but it feels a lot like Mia Moretti, Divaish, Reel Sexy...it's not super glossy. It applied more slick, but I think that's because it was on the 5:30pm UPS truck, and it's been hella hot and I didn't have patience to wait for it to cool longer. I'm honestly lucky it arrived and wasn't goop. Either way, I liked it enough to order another. :)
New to Mac, so didn't realize it, but amplified and amplified creme are different. My Heaux is an amplified creme, so the only one on my list is Mia Morretti. One of my favorites to wear, so still stoked...also explains why it may have felt a little creamier...not just late UPS delivery.

Ya'll got me anxious about Heaux now. I ordered this too along with QS. Did anyone order Flowerscope? Curious about this one too

It actually says amplified creme on the bottom of the tube?? Now this is just strange. MAC is too big of a company to have all this *&^% ups.

Excuse the messy hair and un done face. Been a long day out by the pool but I wanted to share what I got. Pillow talk, how tropical, and an amplified heaux.
Amplified or cremesheen, it looks great! Just ordered it. Couldn't resist.

My Amp lippies say Amplified under the tubes but Amplified Creme on the boxes.

Gotcha! Just checked that, and while the box says Amp creme, the tube is plain amp. Thanks for clarifying! Maria moretti and Heaux for reference. I think it's plain amp, then. Sorry for confusing people...like I said, relatively new to this rodeo. :)

Well I just caved and ordered heaux from Mac USA! It's not available in Canada as of yet, and I don't know if it will be. Glad I read this thread because the amplified finish is what sold it. Yay! Thanks everyone for the great info and pics!

My Heaux came today, which was a surprise since I never got a shipping notice. I am seriously surprised by how much I like it. I usually can't pull off berry shades, but it is so flattering! I think the amplified finish makes it more wearable than a matte (at least on me). Resisting a bu for now... But I am really tempted. So funny since I had planned on skipping. I'm really glad I decided to get it!

Didnt someone mention earlier that the PR sample was marked such???
That was me; guess my post from July 23rd was correct and Heaux is the Amplified Crème finish!! Although it wasn't a PR sample the one I got looked like it was from a production run with the correct markings on the box and bottom label (exactly as it is sold to the public). Seems it was from a production run after all as the new Heaux IS Amplified Crème and not Cremesheen as expected. Seems I had the scoop this time!

I saw your original comment about it and noticed the other online exclusive lipstick was listed as an Amplified, so I thought that was curious. It made sense in my mind for Heaux to be an Amplified as well. I'm glad it is!

Amp has more color impact and isn't glossy. It's also more moisturizing on the lips than mattes/rm's. There is more shine than them too but it isn't shiny if you get what I mean. Creamsheens are way less opaque and have a glossy factor. That's my explanation, lol.
I got two and they both came amplified. I love it! The color pops! I wish I could've got it in retro matte too but I used powder to mattify it and the color still looks good. And I love how moisturizing it is

Is Heaux only MAC online exclusive or will dept stores have them online as well? Figure I'd ask as obvious as the answer may be.
I have a feeling that if it were going to be available in store, we'd have known that it was an Amplified a lot sooner. I could be totally wrong, but there's no way an employee would swatch an Amplified and think it's a Cremesheen.

Tons of MAC products are like this. For example, Scene eyeshadow is a Satin. On the top of the box (what you see when you're grabbing a product from a shelf) half it time it's labeled Scene, half the time it's Scene with "Satin" printed directly beneath it. There are tons of packaging variations, they're just very subtle and completely random. Like, there's no universal print button fort a Scene eyeshadow box. However, It will be consistent within batches. (All Scene eyeshadows printed with XYZ will all have that same packaging, even if it's different from the batch before them.) Specifically in regard to Amplifieds, there are any kind of box and bottom sticker variation of Amplified/Amplified Creme. It's just how (someone at) MAC rolls lol. In all honestly, maybe the variations make it more difficult for counterfeiters?

So, SO not your fault! MAC is a legit rodeo with clowns running around and cowboys getting bucked off all over the place. It's impossible to keep everything straight, especially when labels vary!

Hi @Howards End I will let you know tomorrow.. I don't even think I know the difference between an amplified and a CS. I'm a matte girl all the way.
If I disappear, it's because the MAC Gestapo got me. :) This should be widely accessible information though. In my humble opinion, at least. We were always told in Basic that if we didn't know the answer to a question that it's 100% ok and encouraged to take out the Product Knowledge Manual (which was the plus sized version of the current "Basic Training Attendee Workbook.") I've never heard of MAC Chat showing this to any of us, which I think is a shame. Most of us care enough to really find this information useful. I'd really, really, genuinely like to think that all of you could go into your local MACs and ask to see something like this, or even to have the formulas explained to you, but I know most MAC girls aren't as eager as I was to get down and dirty with customers to really teach and help them understand. I'm sure others have posted this or older versions at one time or another, but here's a refresh. Click on the pics to see full size and read the information about each lipstick formula. A slightly outdated "Lipstick Portfolio." Coverage means the same thing with lips as it does foundation; the fuller/higher the coverage, the less you can see through it.

I just grabbed a BU of Heaux!

TBH when I thought it was a cremesheen I was only getting it to avoid possible skippers remorse, but an amplified, or even better an amplified creme, that I can work with!
