Lol why did you give up? It's pretty easy! There's a browser button, too, but I have a link as a shortcut on my browser. I have the rebates go to my Paypal account and let it automatically transfer to a dedicated bank account.

Unless the SA is amazing, helpful and friendly, I just don't want to bother anymore - lack of knowledge, passion, unfriendliness - I am sick of it. I recently did a click and collect order, and it was a nice change!

When I went to check out Vampify I was swatching the testers and mentioned the 3 online exclusives and the SA seemed to think I was suggesting that the entire collection was an online exclusive and I ended up googling the shade I was interested in and showed her. She had no clue about those 3 shades. I just should not have bothered even asking

why does that surprise you? As popular as she is on youtube, I rarely visit her page. So it doesn't surprise me that other people don't know her. I doubt most sales associates or other mua pay atten to vloggers. Unless they are a correspondent for that brand.

Department stores aren't the best in my experience. I have better luck at Shoppers Drug Mart (in Canada) - the SAs are almost always friendly and approachable, which is half the battle. I can overlook a lack of knowledge if they have a positive attitude.

I haven't had any issues with my meteorites brush. It isn't the softest one I have, but I feel if the brush is too soft it doesn't "get" the powder from the pearls. Guerlain had a whole set that was a bonus for a purchase at Neiman Marcus. The brushes in that set where really nice.I have to be the only person who likes the Meteorites brushes. I have several and always use them for face powders / finishing powders.

Well, since Lisa happens to be the Creative Director of the brand, that does kind of surprise me that she has never heard of her. I don't expect the SAs to know all Beauty Bloggers, but somehow the name of the creative director of their own brand shouldn't sound all that foreign.

It's like the companies run the counter like it's the 1900's and information comes from head office by horse and cart.
It seems odd to have a social media/internet presence and not tie it in with the actual counter at all to the point where SA's have no clue about big news like Lisa Eldridge.
I don't think this is really acceptable in the modern/internet dominated world to run the counters as though the internet doesn't exist - it appears like the companies put no effort in at all to educate their staff.

Thank you! I then went and looked at Mr Rebates and was kicking myself as they had a 5% Nordies cash back and I had already made my purchase. It will be nice to get some $$ back, it all adds up!

Yay! Sometimes, depending on the site, it's 3-4% and can get up to 8 -12%
