I love both the terracotta perfume and the gourmand coquin! :eyelove:
I hope so ... I will beg him LOLIs there any possibility he could have testers and use the new collection on you? They sometimes have all kinds of goodies for make-overs.
Worth a try! Especially a big make-up artist, when they come in they have access to all kinds of stuff. I bet he's been playing with the new collection already. I once had one done by one here in the states and he knew all about all the latest and even sprayed the new scent on me (it was the terracotta one at the time.)I hope so ... I will beg him LOL
Maybe, but still... The makeover session costs €€€, and they then deduct that from your purchase (that same day, on Guerlain makeup). So it would still mean that I have to purchase standard products (or be out of my €€€)Is there any possibility he could have testers and use the new collection on you? There is not anything I need/ want from the regular collection, and holiday collection will be released somewhere in November.
Really! That's lame...they don't charge us here. What a rip-off....Maybe, but still... The makeover session costs €€€, and they then deduct that from your purchase (that same day, on Guerlain makeup). So it would still mean that I have to purchase standard products (or be out of my €€€)
If you have a relationship with any of the SA maybe ask if they will let you pre-order from the Holiday collection and use that towards your purchase amount? Hopefully they will work with you. Seems silly not too seeing as how price-y the Holiday collection is. Best of luck. The makeover session costs €€€, and they then deduct that from your purchase (that same day, on Guerlain makeup). yes Same here in Canada .... they expect you to purchase at least 1 to 2 product ... like a lipliner won't do it LOL. It's been a while since I went to this kind of event or makeup session (6-7 years ago I think) but if it wasn't specified, it was clear by me that I really want to purchased a certain product e.i Bobby brown tortoise palette (I had it in my hand) and a SA ask me if I want her to do a quick eye makeup to see what I could do at home. The palette was 75$ at that time.No one will do free makeover especially not when some famous artist is coming. There is usually pre paid 50 to 100$

Did they told you what was the price? I didn't ask for mine. The makeover session costs €€€, and they then deduct that from your purchase (that same day, on Guerlain makeup). So it would still mean that I have to purchase standard products (or be out of my €€€)
Wow. Bloomingdale's Guerlain had Marcus Monson come and I had a facial and makeover that day with him and I'm sure I didn't pay anything for that. I did buy a bunch of products but I totally knew it was expected that I should (and I wanted to, so I didn't feel pressured at all.). BTW, he was really sweet and awesome. No one will do free makeover especially not when some famous artist is coming. There is usually pre paid 50 to 100$

If they take appointments just like that, weeks in advance, chances are big that on the day the guy is there, only 1 or 2 out of 10 show up => Big waste of time, effort and money for the store and the makeup artist.Maybe, but still... It's a store I almost never go to. I prefer other chains because they have better customer card deals, and I'm almost never at that location. It's because I asked about the Rainbow pearls and the holiday collection that she mentioned the makeup guy would be there. I fear it's not even sure that the holiday collection will be launched at all chains/ stores, and sometimes a collection is launched everywhere, but 1 product or so is exclusive to 1 chain. The SAs never know anything about it until it's actually in store. If you have a relationship with any of the SA maybe ask if they will let you pre-order from the Holiday collection and use that towards your purchase amount? Good to know about both his visit and the launch date, thxOops I did it again .... Just got a phone call from the Guerlain counter at The Bay in Downtown Montreal. Maxim Poulin Guerlain international beauty artist will be there next week Friday and Saturday. I did make an appointment with him on Friday, i'm kind of excited but at the same time there is nothing that i want now .... I just want to buy the Holiday Collection that is still not available in Canada until November 1st. hboy:
I just tried this, I think this perfume is only available at Guerlain boutique and those who have the exclusive line (art de la matière line and the gourmand line)Has anyone tried Guerlain's new Mon Exclusif fragrance? I haven't seen it in store yet, but I'm curious to know what it smells like.

it is a sweet perfume, I mostly smell the brown sugar, or caramel (that the real note) when first spray and then it turn very rapidly to the guerlinade accor. Vanilla, sandalwood and they say coumarin but I cannot pine point it.
To me the dry down is really similar to Tonka Imperial so if you have it i will say you do not need Mon exclusif.
