Chanel Rouge Noir Absolument - Holiday 2015

I made most of my purchases at Lord & Taylor today (holla 10% F&F!).

I got:
Highlighting JC
RN lipstick
Rose Fusion polish
Topcoat

I have the RN eyeliner en route from NM on Monday; I want to have someone play with the IdO on me to make sure that I can do it- and that I'm not allergic.

I checked L&T (who had the plastic display but no tester), Bloomingdales, Macy's, and Nordstrom in my mall to see if anyone had the quad. No dice. I called NM and Saks across the street- both had the full collection except the quad. This thing really is MIA!

The Highlighter JC is THE perfect dainty feminine highlighter for me.  It's a slight silvery peachy pink shade & its just a bit warmer than Nars Copacabana. LOVE the IDO on! For me its perfect that its not too burgundy. It's like coffee with burgundy plum highlights & burgundy shimmer. I had only ONE eyeshadow by Maybelline when I got married when I was 20 & I LOVED that es like no other. This is the closest thing to it that I have ever been able to find. ompom:

I also nabbed a full-sized Solution 10, La Nuit, and a BU Eye Makeup remover. Before F&F is over, I'll grab a backup Mousse Douceur cleanser.

Usually Chanel is in-store only; other brands have no issue with 10% off being reflected on the website.

My local NM apparently has the quad in, but is pre saling for Nov 1! What? First SA: "yes! We have the quad, come get it." Then, "wait let me ask my manager to make sure." Second SA: "we're checking with the manager, but I know that the quads not in! I've been in the back & it's not here, But we have a very nice single cream shadow." Manager: "hi, I have the quad but I can pre sale it & you can come pick it up Nov 1. The tester is out but I can't let you take the item home." Lmao, my head is spinning! I got 3 different stories in the span of 5 mins. Awful counter! They are notorious for getting items in & leaving them in the back for weeks! It's a slow counter, so they just don't care. I had a really great SA here before who would pull stuff from the back for me, but I don't think he's there any more. I'm just going to keep checking online. I can't deal with the inaccurate info from SAs anymore.

That is so ridiculous! They can be so crazy inaccurate & make stuff up. When I was calling all around earlier to see if anyone had it, they all said no but give us your name & number, blood type....blahblahblah

All they want to do is get all your contact info so they can bug you. I had NM online pass out my email to other makeup department who them email me with no way to opt out.

That's not nice of them! I had the opposite happen when calling around for the Reve D'Orient palette. The SA was so nonchalant on the phone, "Sure, we have a bunch of those." Of course I didn't believe her and called back 18 more times before I dragged myself to the store. But sure enough, they had a bunch of them, lol!
