Just swatched my gold highlighters with OD and now I don't even remember what's what besides OD! What does that say? :lmao: No they each look different to a certain degree but on the face I'm not sure someone would race up to me saying, "Is that Oh, Darling??!!" It's pretty though and not as bright as some of my others. I can't explain the color, maybe like an antique brass? I tried my best in artificial lighting:

I didn't swatch any that were too light or rose gold, etc, for obvious reasons. Actually looking at it more I love it because it's giving me a golden olive vibe. Not straight up gold. I'll see tomorrow in the day when I slather it all over my face :lol:

Just got an email that Nordstrom cancelled my OD. This is why I took a break from MAC. I get tired of the rat race. I guess I'll spend that $33 at Sephora when the sale starts.

Uggghhh noooooo. Do a send sale tomorrow with them. I know, annoying but you kinda need it

It's the #14, but IMO the 137 is WAY better. His stuff is good/ok, but I generally have found it over-hyped...again just my opinion. I know tons of people like his stuff a lot.

Looking at swatches on w.o.c. is telling me I don't need OD. I am more giddy over getting SOG now. Mac taking forever to send my shipping notice for it too.

After those unanticipated expenses this summer, i'm a bit tight for $$, so i couldn't order when things released. I won't even have enough to spare on Thursday, i have to wait until Saturday.

Still, i went into my local MAC shop today to check out the products. Turns out they only had the eye and lip bags and the palettes to swatch and pre-order, and i don't want any of those. They were not allowed to put out any of the individual items from the Magic of the Night collection, and that's what i wanted to test.

But they know me there, so one of the MUAs went and got Evening Rendezvous so i could swatch it. What a sweetie! Since it is warmer/ redder/ pinker than Heroine, and Heroine is already pink enough for me, i was happy to skip it. I also tested Dark Side, I like it, and since it's perm, i figure it won't be flying off the shelves, so i should be able to get my purple tube.

I didn't test the eyeshadows, but I definitely want Ascent of Glamour... and maybe Moon Is Blue, depending on how it looks for real.

That's it, two things, or maybe three. If i can get them on Saturday, i will be content.

I was saying the same thing about the four pigments. I will swatch them on Thursday when they arrive at the counters. I'm so excited. Yay!!! I fell in love with ER all over again.

I'm still thinking ER is Ultramarine Pink from Prabal last year. Only difference that was a satin and ER is matte.

Here's another video showing the collection on a vlogger with lighter complexion. She even tries on all the lipsticks. She mentions the "wog" naming thing that went on. I guess I wasn't too far off with my thinking concerning that. I like her videos. Long but detailed. Hope this helps someone who is still on the fence.

ok so I'm much better off getting the 137 I asked the same question before. I'm really just looking for a good brush that doesn't pick up to much product. Especially highlighters

Almost always 2 weeks later

Are the brushes any good? I'm kinda eyeing the essentials set. Maybe the mineralize set too lol

Did you get a chance to get it? I have to say that out of these, the rest look like each other more than they do OD. And I'm not just saying that. It's quite unique. Like Gerard Marilyn and CPop I couldn't tell which was which. I had to go back and re-swatch! Josie Maran looks like WnW. Topaz close to LM...nothing I have looks like OD in this lighting.

That's why I like the 137. I'm fair, so I have to be careful. It can do light, and it can build a bit. It does have less control than a blush brush and is awkward the first use or two, but once you get the knack of it, perfect! (For me). If you have a counter nearby, go play before you buy...they'll even have OD and SOG to test the brush with. Not tonight because I'm going to bed soon, but I'd be happy to PM you comparison pics of the 137 and WG tomorrow.

I think I need the moon is blue. That color really pulls at my heart string every time I see it. And I'm surprised because I don't usually buy eye shadow singles.mostly palettes

My fav for highlighters is my Eco Tools fluffy fan brush. I bought the Real Techniques Setting Brush to try as well. Ppl rave about it.
