Pale over here and LOVED SOG....played with it when I checked out the pigments this afternoon. It came home with me. Looks better on face than swatched (on me).

I have been having a horrible week, so I stopped by Mac after work for retail/window shopping therapy. I had passed on the skinfinishes during the online launch bc I have similar products already like WOG. Then when I saw that nothing was sold out well all bets were off. I ended up with both skinfinishes, pink lip bag (which I plan to give as a gift) and no taboos.

Yay! You'll be happy. I used a random duo-fiber they handed me to try it...100? Dunno...looked great and not too dark or over the top. Granted the lighting isn't great, but I'm wearing it in the pic I posted earlier.

I need to try a different brush for my OD because my usual brush I use (Sephora #79, my HG highlight brush) doesn't seem to pick up a lot of product. It's stiffer than I thought it'd be.

Sooo my daughter's SOG came and of course I tried it on.. it's um.. pretty glittery.. it's gorgeous but I wasn't ready for the glittery fallout. I def need a fan brush because it was in my lashes lol

SoG is beautiful! Magnetic Appeal was my absolute favorite hightlighter in my stash (very small stash by the way) but it worked more as a skinfinish for me. I get the prettiest glow when I wear it all over. SoG is a dupe for it but in my opinion it works more as a highlighter (and even a blush) than a skinfinish which is perfect for me.
Moon is blue is on my rader right now along with red lip back. That lipstick looks so darn pretty!
I figure WOG will be made permanent next year. They made the extra dimension eyeshadows permanent this year it just makes sense that the skinfinishes will follow right behind. I think they will make any LE extra dimension SF in this new print design and let the permanent line have the original design.

So I thought this collection launched on the 25th and has a mini heart attack when I checked this board today!! Managed to grab Shaft of Gold, Oh, Darling, and the smokey eye bag because of its great value. My SoG has a strange texture...crumbly? Upon swatch, it's cousins with the Lorac Tantalizer baked bronzer that I love. Overall I'm pretty happy with my purchases. I haven't been following this thread closely so sorry if this is a repeat comparison!! SoG on the left, Lorac Tantalizer on the right (closest to wrist).

I agree. It was just overhyped. The Becca ones are soooooo soft!
Nothing beats Becca but I did end up grabbing OD at Macy's today. I could have passed, it is so close to Champagne Pop but a bit more of a true gold. I just love the colorful compact. I hauled more of this collection than I thought I would. Ended up with the smoky eye bag, nude lip bag, ER, PM, and OD. Swatched SOG and now I keep looking at the pic of it on my hand. I might end up with that as well before long... uhoh.

Okay you guys I had a bad experience today. I decided to try out Moon Is Blue and did a simple look with some eyeshadow on the lid and by the lower lashes. Used dry, the shadow is very sheer. So I sprayed the shadow on my brush with some fix plus and it looked beautiful! I had used my usual base (Benefit's stay don't stray) and then my usual finishing spray(KVD lock N load). Finished my look and left for work. Ten minutes later I looked in the mirror and had blue eyeshadow everywhere! It smudged really bad. I kept having to wipe my eyes all day long and I kept applying more and more of my under eye powder hoping that would help out, but nope. I don't know what to do. :dunno: The color is beautiful, but I had such a hard time with it. Can anyone tell me if they've tried it or any of the other shadows yet and how was your experience?:crybaby:

It's terrible having that kind of taste with all that work to get the goodies.....eh but only for a minute:stars: Very happy for you. Enjoy your lovely goodies. We have identical taste.
