Chanel Rouge Noir Absolument - Holiday 2015

Me too. It's been an amazing year for Chanel Polishes.

My collection began in 1994 with the original Rouge Noir release here in the UK and I have a few other pre2000 polishes.
Fast forward to 2009 and I got back into Chanel NP again when my husband and daughter started a tradition of him taking her to get a NP for me for birthday, Xmas and mother's day. She was about 6 at the time so I have a fair few pinks and purples as chosen by her !
Quick count of purchases so far this year is 5 x 2015 polishes plus back up Troublante plus Black Pearl [an Ebay find] and, from the permanent line, Holiday so 8 so far and Holiday collection to come next month here in the UK !

Thank you for the info about the reformulation. It has prompted me to do a wish list but I think I will only add Pirate [ if there are any NP funds left after a replacement RN, Rose Fusion and Singuliere ] unless if I can track down Blue Boy.

The grey/taupe color in the quad looks a lot more brown than I expected. Does it look that way to you, Ernie? Thanks so much for swatches.

So far, I've received the Khol and the ultra noir mascara. I'm not blown away by the ultra noir--- has anyone else tried it?

The Khol color is beautiful.

I've been using it for a week and I love it! I usually use the regular one but this is better imo. If you haven't used it before keep in mind, that it's very/too wet in the first couple of weeks and it might make your lashes clumpy but it gets better after that!

I went to the counter and feel in love I REALLY REALLY wanted rouge noir Always have can't find it Will be so bummed out if it never comes here to the states I missed out on quartz Really want mirabella tuttifrutti rose confidentiel and Dragon And I can't believe I don't have blue satin

Rouge Noir is currently widely available in the UK in the normal packaging (without the holiday red Cs).

There is a ban on international postage of nail polish, but if you know someone visiting here whenever, it should still be available in the long term.

I wasn't crazy about Ultra Noir either. Disappointing.

I'd like to know as well. When I went to the counter I swatched Minuit and Golden Sun together and Minuit popped and wowed me more so I bought that one. But Golden Sun might be one of those quiet sleeper hit highlighters. Trying to figure out if I need to get it.

If Chanel is discontinuing polishes, I need to pick up Orage. I don't think I ever got around to getting that one.

Thanks, Mk, and that could be it. I am probably at the final third of my regular black le Volume and it's performing so well, that opening this tube was not a great comparison.

Do you think Rose Fusion is close enough to Quartz?

that's one NP I never got my hands on that always wanted

I am wearing Quartz right now. Pulled it out to see if I wanted to get Rose Fusion. They are close from what I can tell from swatch photos. I'm not 100% sure as I have yet to swatch Rose Fusion, but to me Quartz looks a tad cooler. It's almost perfectly neutral, where to my eye Rose Fusion looks slightly warmer and bronzier. Yes, there is sometimes pink in Rose Fusion but it seems that it depends on lighting and how it pulls on different people. Some have even described it as green. So more of a chameleon. I also have to say that the formula on Quartz is thin but trouble free. Three coats and good to go. Whereas Rose Fusion looks streaky in almost every swatch I've seen and from experience, I know that if an np can go streaky, it will likely streak on me.

Now that I am wearing Quartz -- for the first time--- I really like it and wonder why I never made a point of it earlier. Probably because Peridot was such a stunner. But working in a place that is np conservative, I really appreciate a neutral silvery taupe and can see wearing it regularly this season.

All of my last 4 items from Nordies came by USPS. They did arrive fairly quick, but I still prefer UPS for security reasons.

Me too!! This is the first time ever I have gotten a usps shipment from Nordstrom!! But it does show expected date of delivery on Monday which is fairly quick for Nordstrom!! :sigh:

Thanks, this is great. Except for eye color (and hair dye), she has similar coloring to me so it's good to see the eye colors on her. Photo number two in her eye build is pretty much my standard eye application look. I am tempted by the mascara.

Also in using the Khol, it very much needs to be set with a similar shade of es in order to avoid smearing. So I am very curious as to how the dark shade in the Quad will perform. For the time being, I am experimenting with other shadows I already have. The TF Enchanted darkest shade works really well. I also am experimenting with the TF summer eye cheek palette which works perfectly with the Khol for all products in that palette and the Khol really completes the look of that palette. So I am wondering whether apart from the red black shade whether I will need the new quad. The gold would probably not work on me. It really depends on the neutral mid tone shade and how that plays out.

[COLOR=EE82EE]​I wore quite a few of my goodies from this collection today and I'm in love with everything.  RA Rouge Noir world well w/a c=Chanel lip pencil that I've had for a long time---Rouge Noir Vamp.  I put just a dab of the[/COLOR][COLOR=EE82EE] Glossimer, Etincelle in the center of my lips---so amazing!!![/COLOR]  [COLOR=EE82EE]The IDO is so gorgeous on the eyes----I worked it in w/my YSL Metal Clash palette & love the look so much I'm repeating it for Saturday date night.  Lastly, JC [/COLOR] [COLOR=EE82EE]Coup de Minuit is really lovely---I used it as a highlighter, including as a brow and inner corner of the eyes highlighter.  I Love this collection so much!!!![/COLOR]
